This work proposes for the first time protecting-reflecting on both sides of plated mirrors and a solution to polycarbonate surface vulnerability to weathering and scratching using tungsten disulfide (WS) by mechanical polishing. The ability of the dynamic chemical plating (DCP) technique to deposit Ag films at the nanometer scale on a polycarbonate (PC) substrate and its characteristics to be metallized is also shown. These deposits hold significant promise for concentrated solar power (CSP) applications.

A plastic injection waste known as "purge" cannot be reintegrated into the recycling chain due to its shape, size, and composition. Grinding these cannot be carried out with traditional mills due to significant variations in size and shape. This work proposes a process and the design of a device that operates with solar energy to cut the purges without exceeding the degradation temperature.

Silicon nanowires (Si) have been studied due to their interesting properties, such as light trapping and catalytic activity for removing organic molecules. In this work, silicon nanowires are decorated with copper (Si-Cu), graphene oxide (Si-GO), and both copper and graphene oxide GO (Si-Cu-GO). They were prepared and tested as photoelectrocatalysts to remove the azoic dye methyl orange (MO).

However, it has been difficult to establish a consensus due to conflicting results. Therefore, the aim of our study was to evaluate the predictors of reoperation in Hispanic-Americans with rLDH following primary hemilaminectomy and discectomy surgery.

However, there is concern that preoperative corticosteroids limit the ability to obtain a definitive pathologic diagnosis, particularly if imaging features suggest primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL).
Methods: To explore the impact of preoperative corticosteroids in newly diagnosed PCNSL patients, from 2009 to 2018 treated at our institution.
