Aims: Voriconazole is a new triazole antifungal agent, and is metabolized by the cytochrome P450 isoenzymes CYP2C9, CYP2C19, and, to a lesser extent, by CYP3A4. Phenytoin is an inducer of CYP3A4 activity, and a substrate and inducer of CYP2C9 and CYP2C19.
