(1) Background: Stress granules (SGs) are cytoplasmic protein-RNA condensates that assemble in response to various insults. SG production is driven by signaling pathways that are relevant to human disease. Compounds that modulate SG characteristics are therefore of clinical interest.

Methods: Twelve experts in gynecological cancer designed an electronic survey, according to recommendations from international societies, using an online platform. The survey included 22 questions on five topics: consultation care, preinvasive cervical pathology, and cervical, ovarian, and endometrial cancer.
Objectives: To determine the efficacy and safety of the use of cryotherapy, cold knife or thermocoagulation compared to Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) for the treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
Methods: Systematic review with meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials in women with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia undergoing treatment with cryotherapy, cold knife, or thermo-coagulation compared with LEEP, to estimate its efficacy and safety. The search was conducted on MEDLINE/PUBMED, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) and Scopus, until September 2018.

Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) is a linear polymer with a wide range of applications in chemical manufacturing, drug development and nanotechnology. PEG derivatives are being increasingly used to covalently modify small molecule and peptide drugs, as well as bioactive nanomaterials in order to improve solubility in biological serum, reduce immunogenicity, and enhance pharmacokinetic profiles. Herein we present the development of mechanochemical procedures for PEG functionalization without the need for bulk solvents, offering a cleaner and more sustainable alternative to existing solution-based PEG procedures.

The index cases were HCV Ab (+) (EIA 3rd Abbott and PCR + by RT-nested PCR). The couples with probable or confirmed risk factors of parenteral transmission were strictly excluded.

We reported a less frequent case of diphenylhydantoin associated acute hepatotoxicity in a 18-year old woman who immediately after child birth presented generalized tonic-clonic seizures secondary to arachnoid cyst in the left temporal-lobe. The patient developed a mononucleosis like coinciding with previous descriptions.

In order to establish the present prevalence of HCV in hemodialyzed patients (HD) from the city of La Plata, and to know the association between the prevalence and different variables, we have studied 217 hemodialyzed patients belonged to the Hemodialysis Unit of a Public Hospital and other 7 private Units. Serological reactivity to Anti HCV and Anti HBc IgG were investigated in all of them, as well as age, sex, number of transfusions, the time under dialysis treatment, the use of erythropoietin and hepatitis episodes were taken into account. We have found a prevalence of Anti HCV of 18.
