Potential acetylcholinesterase inhibitors to treat Alzheimer's disease.

Objective: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is identified by neuropathological symptoms, and there is now no effective treatment for the condition. A lack of the brain neurotransmitter acetylcholine has been related to the etiology of Alzheimer's disease. Acetylcholinesterase is an enzyme that breaks down acetylcholine to an inactive form and causes the death of cholinergic neurons.

Screening of flavonoid "quercetin" from the rhizome of Smilax china Linn. for anti-psoriatic activity.

Objective: To assess anti-psoriatic activity of the methanol extract and the isolated flavonoid quercetin from the rhizome of Smilax china (S. china) Linn.

Methods: Mouse tail test was used for the evaluation of anti-psoriatic activity.
