Knowledge, attitudes, practice, and perceived barriers toward evidence-based practice among Palestinian nurses in intensive care units.

Background: Evidence-based practice (EBP) implementation can improve healthcare safety and patient outcomes. The significant challenge for intensive care nurses is providing safe and evidence-based care to patients with complex illnesses who are at high risk of complications and death. This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practice of EBP, and the perceived barriers to EBP implementation among nurses in intensive care units (ICUs) in the North West Bank hospitals.

Psychosocial factors correlating self-care management among Jordanian adolescents with type 1 diabetes.

Purpose: Few studies were conducted to examine the correlation between the anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms, self-efficacy, and social support variables and type 1 diabetes in developing countries, including Jordan. Thus, this study was conducted to assess the correlation between these psychosocial factors and self-care management among Jordanian adolescents with type 1 diabetes.

Design & Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive correlational design was used to perform a study among adolescents with type 1 diabetes (N = 351) aged 14-18 years who attended primary healthcare centers clinics, and diabetic clinics related to hospitals in Amman Governorate, Jordan.

Effect of creative art therapy (CATs) on depressive symptoms and quality of life among Jordanian community-dwelling older people: an experimental study.

Background: There are a lack of studies examining the effect of creative art therapy on older people. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of creative art therapy on reducing depressive symptoms and improving the quality of life among Jordanian older people.

Methods: A one-group time-series design (pretest, posttest, and follow-up) was adopted between June 2021 and April 2022 on 102 community-dwelling older people who suffered from depressive symptoms and low quality of life in Amman Governorate.

A Relationship between Management Commitment, Psychological Empowerment, and Job Performance among Employees in Higher Educational Institutions in Palestine: Multi-Wave Survey.

This study aimed to assess the relationship between management commitment, psychological empowerment, and job performance among Palestinian academic employees in higher education institutions. A multi-wave survey was utilized and 665 academics were recruited from several public and private universities in West Bank, in which the stratified sampling method was adopted to select universities. Findings demonstrated that participants reported moderate levels of management commitment and job performance and agreeable levels of psychological empowerment.

Effect of a family-based lifestyle intervention on weight reduction among Jordanian children with obesity aged 6-9 years.

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a family-based lifestyle intervention on reducing body weight among Jordanian children with obesity aged 6-9 years old.
