The Government of Mozambique has started developing a revised National Cholera Plan (NCP), which aligns with "ending cholera-a global roadmap to 2030" launched by the Global Task Force on Cholera Control (GTFCC) in 2017.

Introduction: Electrophysiological diagnosis of cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) is based on the evaluation of cardiovascular autonomic reflex tests (CARTs). CARTs are relatively time consuming and must be performed under standardized conditions. This study aimed to determine whether thermal quantitative sensory testing (TQST) can be used as a screening tool to identify patients with diabetes at a higher risk of CAN.

Two new sesquiterpene pyridine alkaloids, oppositines A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from the plant Pleurostylia opposita, collected in Sri Lanka. The compounds were isolated and purified by solvent/solvent partitioning, column chromatography, and HPLC. Their structures were assigned on the basis of extensive 1D and 2D NMR studies as well as analysis by HRESIMS.
