Cost-Effectiveness of the Self-Care Management System for Heart Failure.

Background: We recently reported that the self-care management system for heart failure (HF) decreased re-hospitalization for HF. In the present study we estimate the cost-effectiveness of this system.

Methods And Results: We retrospectively enrolled 569 consecutive patients who were admitted for HF treatment at Kitano Hospital.

An unusual concomitance of acute heart failure: prolactinoma in a patient with left ventricular dysfunction-a case report.

Background: Heart failure concomitant with prolactinoma is extremely rare.

Case Summary: We present the case of a 29-year-old man who had acute decompensated heart failure concomitant with visual loss in his right eye. Transthoracic echocardiography indicated severely decreased left ventricular (LV) function.
