Hydrological bases of water resources management of the rivers of Northern Kazakhstan.

It is well known that directional global and regional climatic changes have been taking place in recent decades, in the considered area, where the underground feeding of rivers is insignificant, the river flow has decreased. In this regard, the river flow rate and total water resources of the river basins of Northern Kazakhstan are estimated in several ways: for a multi-year period, for the modern period, as well as for the period preceding it, a significant part of which is characterized by conditionally natural (not significantly transformed) river flow. Flow characteristics necessary for practice have been obtained: distribution parameters and probability values.

Analysis of Multiple Drug Resistance Mechanism in Different Types of Soft Tissue Sarcomas: Assessment of the Expression of ABC-Transporters, MVP, YB-1, and Analysis of Their Correlation with Chemosensitivity of Cancer Cells.

Chemotherapy of soft tissue sarcomas (STS) is restricted by low chemosensitivity and multiple drug resistance (MDR). The purpose of our study was the analysis of MDR mechanism in different types of STS. We assessed the expression of ABC-transporters, , , and analyzed their correlation with chemosensitivity of cancer cells.

[Experience in using ecdisten in the treatment of hymenolepiasis].

The paper presents the results of clinical and parasitological studies in 22 patients with hymenolepiasis after treatment with ecdisten. The drug was used in a dose of 5 ml thrice a day during two weeks. It normalized all clinical symptoms in 8 patients and improved most of them in other patients.

Diagnosis of occlusive lesions of upper extremity arteries in patients with thromboangiitis obliterans.

The study accrued 84 patients suffering from thromboangiitis obliterans (TO) examined and treated at the A.V. Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery, RAMS, over the period 1988 to 2002.

Material And Method: Sulodexide was given to 15 patients which were examined for blood fibrinogen, foot tissues saturation with oxygen, microbic contamination of the wound tissue. In addition, ultrasound dopplerography of foot arteries, laser doppler flowmetry were performed.
