[New trends in antimicrobial therapy of chronic purulent mesotympanitis].

Antibiotic therapy with colbiocin of chronic purulent mesotympanitis achieved a response rate of 92%, recurrence-free interval reached 6 months in 84% of the treated patients. This allows to recommend colbiocin as a drug of choice in hospital and outpatient treatment of chronic purulent mesotympanitis.

[Sorption methods in the treatment of nose and paranasal sinus diseases].

The responses to sorption treatment have been analysed for 373 patients suffering from staphylococcal, allergic, purulent, polypous-purulent rhinosinusitis. For enterosorption a coal spherical phi EH sorbent was used. Application sorption was performed with fabric sorbent AYT-M2, nonfabric sorbent AHM-pi, dust phi EH sorbent.

[Viremia in respiratory syncytial virus infection].

Viremia was demonstrated to occur in experimental respiratory syncytial (RS) virus infection in suckling cotton rats and in natural infection in children. RS virus was isolated from the whole blood of the animals in 3 out of 6 experiments at 2, 5, 6, 7 and 15 days after inoculation, the maximum infectious titer being more than 10(4) TCPD50/0.1 ml.
