Experiences of people with unexplained hearing concerns seeking hearing healthcare in the United States.

Objective: Up to 10% of adults seeking hearing healthcare for significant hearing concerns have diagnostic test results that indicate normal hearing. Knowledge of the interactions between patients with unexplained hearing concerns and hearing healthcare providers is minimal. In this study, we explored what themes emerged when individuals with unexplained hearing concerns discuss their experiences seeking hearing healthcare.
