A 45-year-old man was admitted with a 4 day history of right facial pain and on examination, there was atrophy of the right side of the tongue. Magnetic resonance angiography demonstrated carotid artery dissection and aspirin was commenced.

Superior dislocation of patella without patellar ligament injury is a rare clinical condition: hence often brings diagnostic dilemma for Emergency physician. Only few cases have been reported in the literature and all of them had coexistant patellofemoral joint osteoarthritis. We present such dislocation in a 34-years old rugby player after a fall without any preexisting arthrosis in the knee.

The authors report an unusual case of volar wrist swelling with the appearance of a simple ganglion on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); however, operative and histologic examination identified the swelling as an ancient schwannoma. Ancient schwannomas mostly present as a solitary tumor. A lobulated tumor in this location has not been described previously.
