Background This research examines mortality patterns and the place of death in individuals with chronic rheumatic heart disease (RHD) in the United States, aiming to identify demographic predictors for home or hospice death. Additionally, the study aims to uncover trends in mortality due to RHD and provide a predictive forecast. Methods The study utilized data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)-Wide-Ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research (WONDER) database, which spans 22 years (1999-2020), and was categorized based on place of death, including home or hospice care, inpatient, outpatient, or emergency room deaths, and nursing home facility deaths.

Laser- FiLaC™ has been described in this study as an option in the management of anorectal fistula. The aim of this study was to assess the novel radial laser probe treatment in complex fistula in-ano and report the success rate and recurrence rate.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the career preferences among Bangladeshi medical students, identify the factors that influence their present choices, and additionally report the role of gender and academic year behind their decisions.

Methods: This cross-sectional study conducted in Bangladesh from August 2022 to April 2023 included 801 medical students conveniently selected from medical colleges in eight divisions. Data were collected using a web-based survey and analysed using STATA version 16.

As infrared thermography (IRT) is a simple non-contact tool for precise measurement of surface temperature, we investigated the use of IRT to establish thermal signatures around calving in the Murrah buffalo. The IRT of eye, right lateral, left lateral and rear side of udder skin surface temperature (USST) were recorded at 6 h interval from 96 h before the expected date of calving, at the time of calving and 24 h post-calving in Murrah buffaloes (n = 28).
