Update on X-ray Microcalorimeter Arrays Based on Thermal MKIDs (TKIDs).

We report progress on the development of x-ray microcalorimeter thermal kinetic inductance detector (TKID) arrays, where each TKID is an independent pixel. Our goal in developing this detector technology is to arrive at high quantum efficiency, high fill factor, large-format, moderate energy resolution x-ray detector array which can be readily scaled to tens of kilo-pixels, to be used as an x-ray imaging spectrograph for astronomy and metrology applications. We discuss the evolution of the design, how it has been driven by fabrication related constraints, and the resulting impacts on detector performance.

Pilot Study on Therapeutic Horticulture for Chronic Low Back Pain: A Mixed Methods Study.

A Case of Antisynthetase Syndrome Initially Presented With Interstitial Lung Disease Mimicking COVID-19.

In this case report, we present a case of antisynthetase syndrome which is a rare disease that can be easily missed, if not specifically looked for in adults, whose initial presentation is combination of myopathic and respiratory symptoms. In clinical practice, patients presenting with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) symptoms, whose computed tomography (CT) imaging is consistent with COVID-19, were accordingly isolated and treated as COVID-19 awaiting reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results. However, there are many COVID-19 mimics on chest CT, which can make the CT-based diagnosis of COVID-19 unsafe.

Risk of Transmission of Antimicrobial Resistant from Commercial Broiler and Free-Range Retail Chicken in India.

Multidrug-resistant infections are a growing public health concern. This study analyzed the possibility of contamination of commercial poultry meat (broiler and free-range) with pathogenic and or multi-resistant in retail chain poultry meat markets in India. We analyzed 168 isolates from broiler and free-range retail poultry (meat/ceca) sampled over a wide geographical area, for their antimicrobial sensitivity, phylogenetic groupings, virulence determinants, extended-spectrum-β-lactamase (ESBL) genotypes, fingerprinting by Enterobacterial Repetitive Intergenic Consensus (ERIC) PCR and genetic relatedness to human pathogenic using whole genome sequencing (WGS).

The Phenotypic Spectrum of Nephropathies Associated with Mutations in Diacylglycerol Kinase .

The recent discovery of mutations in the gene encoding diacylglycerol kinase (DGKE) identified a novel pathophysiologic mechanism leading to HUS and/or MPGN. We report ten new patients from eight unrelated kindreds with DGKE nephropathy. We combined these cases with all previously published cases to characterize the phenotypic spectrum and outcomes of this new disease entity.

The effect of vitamin D supplement on the score and quality of sleep in 20-50 year-old people with sleep disorders compared with control group.

Objectives: Sleep quality may be directly related with vitamin D serum level. Some studies found that people with lower vitamin D serum level experienced a lower sleep quality. Genomes of Two Clinical Isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis from Odisha, India.

We report whole-genome sequences of two clinical isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolated from patients in Odisha, India. The sequence analysis revealed that these isolates are of an ancestral type and might represent some of the "pristine" isolates in India that have not admixed with other lineages.

This was a descriptive cross-sectional pilot study conducted at Masih Daneshvari Hospital in order to determine predicted values of cardiopulmonary exercise testing in individuals with normal physical activity patterns.

Modern and ancestral genotypes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis from Andhra Pradesh, India.

Traditionally, the distribution of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis genotypes in India has been characterized by widespread prevalence of ancestral lineages (TbD1+ strains and variants) in the south and the modern forms (TbD1(-) CAS and variants) predominating in the north of India. The pattern was, however, not clearly known in the south-central region such as Hyderabad and the rest of the state of Andhra Pradesh where the prevalence of both tuberculosis (TB) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is one of the highest in the country; this area has been the hotspot of TB vaccine trials. Spoligotyping of 101 clinical isolates obtained from Hyderabad and rural Andhra Pradesh confirmed the occurrence of major genogroups such as the ancestral (or the TbD1+ type or the East African Indian (EAI) type), the Central Asian (CAS) or Delhi type and the Beijing lineage in Andhra Pradesh.
