We report progress on the development of x-ray microcalorimeter thermal kinetic inductance detector (TKID) arrays, where each TKID is an independent pixel. Our goal in developing this detector technology is to arrive at high quantum efficiency, high fill factor, large-format, moderate energy resolution x-ray detector array which can be readily scaled to tens of kilo-pixels, to be used as an x-ray imaging spectrograph for astronomy and metrology applications. We discuss the evolution of the design, how it has been driven by fabrication related constraints, and the resulting impacts on detector performance.

Therapists trained in Therapeutic Horticulture (TH) use gardening activities and proximity to nature for therapy and rehabilitation. Patients seeking care for LBP would benefit physically and psychologically from participating in TH.

Inappropriate and irrational use of antimicrobials in the livestock industry has resulted in an increased incidence of multi-drug resistant bacteria of epidemic potentials.
Materials And Methods: The adhesion and invasion properties of 11 free-range and broiler chicken derived Helicobacterpullorum isolates were evaluated.
Background: The coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) has affected the lives of many people worldwide. Patients with chronic underlying morbidities are vulnerable to get the severe form of the infection. The goal of this study was to evaluate the outcome of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension during the COVID-19 pandemic in Iran.

In clinical practice, patients presenting with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) symptoms, whose computed tomography (CT) imaging is consistent with COVID-19, were accordingly isolated and treated as COVID-19 awaiting reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results. However, there are many COVID-19 mimics on chest CT, which can make the CT-based diagnosis of COVID-19 unsafe.

This study analyzed the possibility of contamination of commercial poultry meat (broiler and free-range) with pathogenic and or multi-resistant in retail chain poultry meat markets in India. We analyzed 168 isolates from broiler and free-range retail poultry (meat/ceca) sampled over a wide geographical area, for their antimicrobial sensitivity, phylogenetic groupings, virulence determinants, extended-spectrum-β-lactamase (ESBL) genotypes, fingerprinting by Enterobacterial Repetitive Intergenic Consensus (ERIC) PCR and genetic relatedness to human pathogenic using whole genome sequencing (WGS).

We report ten new patients from eight unrelated kindreds with DGKE nephropathy. We combined these cases with all previously published cases to characterize the phenotypic spectrum and outcomes of this new disease entity.

Some studies found that people with lower vitamin D serum level experienced a lower sleep quality. Consequently, this study aimed at determining the effect of vitamin D supplements on sleep score and quality in 20-50 year-old people with sleep disorders.

Inappropriate and indiscriminate use of antimicrobials in the livestock industry has led to an increased prevalence of multidrug-resistant bacteria with epidemic potential. Here, we present a functional molecular epidemiological analysis entailing the phenotypic and whole-genome sequence-based characterization of 11 H.

The sequence analysis revealed that these isolates are of an ancestral type and might represent some of the "pristine" isolates in India that have not admixed with other lineages.

The proteins encoded by the dormancy survival regulon (DosR regulon) are mainly responsible for survival of the bacilli in a latent form. To maintain latency, mycobacteria orchestrate a balanced interplay of different cytokines secreted by immune cells during the granulomatous stage.

It is usually caused by abnormalities in complement regulation. We report 2 cases of children affected by a catastrophic extrarenal complication.

This was a descriptive cross-sectional pilot study conducted at Masih Daneshvari Hospital in order to determine predicted values of cardiopulmonary exercise testing in individuals with normal physical activity patterns.
Materials And Methods: Thirty four individuals (14 women, 20 men) between 18-57 years of age were chosen using simple sampling method and evaluated with an incremental progressive cycle-ergometer test to a symptom-limited maximal tolerable work load.
Traditionally, the distribution of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis genotypes in India has been characterized by widespread prevalence of ancestral lineages (TbD1+ strains and variants) in the south and the modern forms (TbD1(-) CAS and variants) predominating in the north of India. The pattern was, however, not clearly known in the south-central region such as Hyderabad and the rest of the state of Andhra Pradesh where the prevalence of both tuberculosis (TB) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is one of the highest in the country; this area has been the hotspot of TB vaccine trials. Spoligotyping of 101 clinical isolates obtained from Hyderabad and rural Andhra Pradesh confirmed the occurrence of major genogroups such as the ancestral (or the TbD1+ type or the East African Indian (EAI) type), the Central Asian (CAS) or Delhi type and the Beijing lineage in Andhra Pradesh.

This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate gender differences in the epidemiological factors associated with the treatment seeking behaviors of TB cases in the rural communities of Bangladesh. The study reveals that there is significant gender difference in treatment seeking behaviors of rural TB cases and the majority of them (52%) have taken prior treatment from various traditional healers, 70% of them are females who attended health centers (UZHCs) as the other choice (adjusted OR: 4.2, 95% CI: 2.
