Rapeseed is one of the most important sources of vegetable oil worldwide. Knowledge of the dielectric properties of rapeseed may be beneficial for moisture content determination and the optimization of microwave treatment processes. The aim of this research was to examine the complex dielectric permittivity spectra of rapeseed of moisture content from 8.

The measurements were conducted using a prototype seven-rod probe (15 mm long central rod) connected to a single port of vector network analyzer. The samples were moistened with distilled water and KCl solutions in order to obtain six different moisture content levels.

Monitoring soil moisture is of particular importance in the rational use of water resources for irrigation, especially during periods of water scarcity. This paper presents a method of measuring soil moisture in the vicinity of the plant root system by means of a probe designed to be mounted on a mobile device used for precise plant irrigation.

Knowledge of volumetric water content (VWC) of the root zone as well as the VWC dynamics in the soil profile is especially important for agriculture. Monitoring VWC at several depths in the soil profile can be performed using several soil moisture sensors placed at various depths.

Methods: We conducted a prospective longitudinal cohort of 89 children aged 6 to 10 years old newly treated for ADHD by 1 of 44 pediatricians in 11 practices. Parents completed validated surveys on their beliefs about ADHD and medicine.

Background: Fentanyl and sufentanil are the most commonly administered intrathecal lipophilic opioids worldwide, although their relative efficacy when given by this route is not well characterised. The primary endpoint of this prospective, randomised, double-blind study was to compare effective analgesia duration of intrathecal administered fentanyl 25 μg and sufentanil 2.5 or 5 μg, Second endpoints were to compare post-operative morphine consumption and incidence of side effects between these opioids dosages.

In seven chronically catheterized fetal lambs at 130 to 140 days' gestation, flow was measured by means of radioactive labeled microspheres during a control period, during hypoxia, and at 4, 24, and 48 hours after hypoxia. Control blood flow to cortical, subcortical, and brain stem structures respectively equaled 221, 237 and 275 ml .

Control values of PO2, PCO2 pH, heart rate, and blood pressure were obtained, and CBF was measured by use of radioactive labeled microspheres during a control period, during (15-, 30-, and 90-min) reduction of maternal inspired O2 concentration (fetal arterial PO2 was maintained at 12 to 15 torr), and 60 min after returning the ewe to room air. control blood flow to cortical, subcortical, and brainstem structures equaled 134, 186, and 254 ml x min-1 x 100 g-1, respectively.
