Demographic and Socioeconomic Predictors of Prehypertension and Hypertension in the Adult Population: Serbian National Health Survey.

: Prehypertension and hypertension are the most common cardiovascular disorders worldwide and are increasingly considered one of the most serious public health problems, particularly in developing countries. The objective of this study was to determine the frequency and demographic and socioeconomic predictors of prehypertension and hypertension in the adults in Serbia, and to examine the relationship between prehypertension and hypertension and health behavior determinants (smoking, alcohol use, physical activity) and individual aspects of health (a health self-assessment, multimorbidity, BMI, depressive symptoms). : The research is part of the fourth National Population Health Survey conducted in 2019, which was conducted by the Republic Institute of Statistics, in cooperation with the Institute of Public Health of Serbia and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia.

DILEMMAS ABOUT THE SELECTION OF ANESTHESIA FOR ELECTIVE CESAREAN SECTION IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH MYOTONIC DYSTROPHY TYPE 2 AND SUSPECTED von WILLEBRAND DISEASE: A CASE REPORT.

With advancement of medicine in the field of diagnostics and treatment of women suffering from certain genetic disorders, more and more women have attained reproductive age and desired fertility. Maintaining pregnancy, as well as bringing it to an end poses a real challenge not only for obstetricians, but also for anesthesiologists involved in the procedure. In our case report, we describe anesthetic management of a female patient suffering from myotonic dystrophy type 2 and suspected von Willebrand's disease, and undergoing elective cesarean section.

The Efficacy of Dural Puncture Epidural Performed by 27-gauge Whitacre Needle in Labour Epidural Analgesia: Randomized Single-Blinded Controlled Study.

Adherence to Medication among Parkinson's Disease Patients Using the Adherence to Refills and Medications Scale.

Objectives: Adherence to medication is an important factor that can influence Parkinson's disease (PD) control. We aimed to explore patients' adherence to antiparkinsonian medication and determine factors that might affect adherence to medications among PD patients.

Methods: A cross-sectional, exploratory survey of PD patients treated with at least one antiparkinsonian drug and with a total score of MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) ≥26 was conducted.

Oxidative Stress Reduction by Midazolam Premedication during Oocyte Retrieval Procedure: Pilot Study.

Infertility is one of the major medical problems nowadays. Couples who opt for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) face a great deal of stress which certainly affects the outcome of the procedure. Therefore, we aimed to reduce the stress during the oocyte retrieval procedure by applying midazolam.

Auricular acupuncture as effective pain relief after episiotomy: a randomized controlled pilot study.

Purpose: Previously, pain treatment following episiotomy has relied on non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs as analgesics, whose use during breastfeeding remains controversial due of their transfer to the child.

Methods: This was a pilot randomized parallel single-center study aiming to evaluate the effects of auricular acupuncture on pain relief after episiotomy. The primary outcome was reduction of pain intensity using visual analogue scale (VAS) scores during the first three postpartum days.
