Background: Patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) benefit from regular home-based exercise (HbE). In spite of recommendations, a relevant proportion of German axSpA patients does not adhere to recommended HbE practices. To enhance HbE care, we developed the novel digital therapeutic (DTx) "Axia" compliant with the European medical device regulation (MDR).

Background: Sensitive skin (SenS) is a syndrome leading to unpleasant sensations with little visible signs. Grading its severity generally relies on questionnaires or subjective ratings.

Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted healthcare access and telemedicine has been widely deployed. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of this health crisis on treatment consumption and telemedicine development in outpatients treated by oral anti-cancer agents and followed by the Oncoral hospital/community multidisciplinary program where continuity care is maintained by a pharmacist/nurse pair.

Methods: A prospective monocentric study was conducted among cancer patients who received Oncoral telephone follow-up during the 1st lockdown in France using a 56-item questionnaire which covered sociodemographic data, patient medication management, and telehealth.

Background: The management of soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) relies on a multidisciplinary approach involving specialized oncological surgery combined with other adjuvant therapies to achieve optimal local disease control. Purpose and Results: Genomic and transcriptomic pseudocapsules of 20 prospective sarcomas were analyzed and revealed to be correlated with a higher risk of recurrence after surgery.

Conclusions: A peritumoral environment that has been remodeled and infiltrated by M2 macrophages, and is less expressive of healthy tissue, would pose a significant risk of relapse and require more aggressive treatment strategies.

The European Sleep Research Society recommends cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT-I) as the first-line treatment. Because a recent study in Switzerland demonstrated that this recommendation was inconsistently followed by primary care physicians, we hypothesised that pharmacists also deviate from these guidelines.

The circadian system orchestrates sleep timing and structure and is altered with increasing age. Sleep propensity, and particularly REM sleep is under strong circadian control and has been suggested to play an important role in brain plasticity. In this exploratory study, we assessed whether surface-based brain morphometry indices are associated with circadian sleep regulation and whether this link changes with age.

Prevalence estimates are critical for malaria programming efforts but generating these from non-malaria surveys is not standard practice. Malaria prevalence estimates for 6-59-month-old Nigerian children were compared between two national household surveys performed simultaneously in 2018: a Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) and the Nigeria HIV/AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS). DHS tested via microscopy (n = 8298) and HRP2-based rapid diagnostic test (RDT, n = 11,351), and NAIIS collected dried blood spots (DBS) which were later tested for histidine-rich protein 2 (HRP2) antigen (n = 8029).

Background: The reverse sequence of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative radiotherapy, mastectomy then immediate breast reconstruction is currently proposed for selected patients with locally advanced breast cancer. Few studies have compared it to the standard sequence of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, mastectomy and radiotherapy with or without differed reconstruction. Our study compares overall (OS) and recurrence-free (RFS) survivals of breast cancer patients treated with reverse sequence compared to the standard technique.

Retinal cholesterol metabolism is perturbated in response to experimental glaucoma in the rat.

Alterations of cholesterol metabolism have been described for many neurodegenerative pathologies, such as Alzheimer's disease in the brain and age-related macular degeneration in the retina. Recent evidence suggests that glaucoma, which is characterized by the progressive death of retinal ganglion cells, could also be associated with disruption of cholesterol homeostasis. In the present study we characterized cholesterol metabolism in a rat model of laser-induced intraocular hypertension, the main risk factor for glaucoma.

Assessment of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) in Outpatients Taking Oral Anticancer Drugs Included in the Real-Life Oncoral Program.

Background In previous studies, patient-reported outcomes (PROs) have been shown to improve survival in cancer patients. The aim of the present study was to assess symptoms potentially related to adverse events experienced by cancer outpatients treated by oral anticancer agents (OAAs) using PROs. Methods Between September 2018 and May 2019, outpatients starting OAAs were included in a 12-week follow-up to assess 15 symptoms listed in the National Cancer Institute PRO Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, using a 5-point scale of severity or frequency.

Background: Digital health applications/apps (DiGA) are entering many medical disciplines and have the potential to revolutionize patient care. In rheumatology, the use for axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) would be conceivable in the form of an exercise app. Therefore, a representative survey among axSpA patients was conducted to determine the need for an axSpA exercise app.

Considerations for quality assurance of multiplex malaria antigen detection assays with large sample sets.

Multiplex assays for malaria antigen detection can gather data from large sample sets, but considerations for the consistency and quality assurance (QA) of mass testing lack evaluation. We present a QA framework for a study occurring November 2019 to March 2020 involving 504 assay plates detecting four Plasmodium antigens: pan-Plasmodium aldolase and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), histidine-rich protein 2 (HRP2), P. vivax LDH (PvLDH).

Real-life drug-drug and herb-drug interactions in outpatients taking oral anticancer drugs: comparison with databases.

Purpose: Due to polypharmacy and the rising popularity of complementary and alternative medicines (CAM), oncology patients are particularly at risk of drug-drug interactions (DDI) or herb-drug interactions (HDI). The aims of this study were to assess DDI and HDI in outpatients taking oral anticancer drug.

P-selectin targeting polysaccharide-based nanogels for miRNA delivery.

Nanogels were prepared in aqueous media without the use of any organic solvent via a simple polyelectrolyte complexation method between aminated pullulan and fucoidan followed by covalent crosslinking with genipin.
