Background: Patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) benefit from regular home-based exercise (HbE). In spite of recommendations, a relevant proportion of German axSpA patients does not adhere to recommended HbE practices. To enhance HbE care, we developed the novel digital therapeutic (DTx) "Axia" compliant with the European medical device regulation (MDR).

Materials And Methods: The SenS status of 183 subjects was determined by trained assessors.
Purpose: The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted healthcare access and telemedicine has been widely deployed. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of this health crisis on treatment consumption and telemedicine development in outpatients treated by oral anti-cancer agents and followed by the Oncoral hospital/community multidisciplinary program where continuity care is maintained by a pharmacist/nurse pair.
Methods: A prospective monocentric study was conducted among cancer patients who received Oncoral telephone follow-up during the 1st lockdown in France using a 56-item questionnaire which covered sociodemographic data, patient medication management, and telehealth.
Background: The management of soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) relies on a multidisciplinary approach involving specialized oncological surgery combined with other adjuvant therapies to achieve optimal local disease control. Purpose and Results: Genomic and transcriptomic pseudocapsules of 20 prospective sarcomas were analyzed and revealed to be correlated with a higher risk of recurrence after surgery.
Conclusions: A peritumoral environment that has been remodeled and infiltrated by M2 macrophages, and is less expressive of healthy tissue, would pose a significant risk of relapse and require more aggressive treatment strategies.
(1) Introduction: Chronic insomnia (CI) reduces quality of life and may trigger depression and cardiovascular diseases. The European Sleep Research Society recommends cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT-I) as the first-line treatment. Because a recent study in Switzerland demonstrated that this recommendation was inconsistently followed by primary care physicians, we hypothesised that pharmacists also deviate from these guidelines.

Sleep propensity, and particularly REM sleep is under strong circadian control and has been suggested to play an important role in brain plasticity. In this exploratory study, we assessed whether surface-based brain morphometry indices are associated with circadian sleep regulation and whether this link changes with age.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFPrevalence estimates are critical for malaria programming efforts but generating these from non-malaria surveys is not standard practice. Malaria prevalence estimates for 6-59-month-old Nigerian children were compared between two national household surveys performed simultaneously in 2018: a Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) and the Nigeria HIV/AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS). DHS tested via microscopy (n = 8298) and HRP2-based rapid diagnostic test (RDT, n = 11,351), and NAIIS collected dried blood spots (DBS) which were later tested for histidine-rich protein 2 (HRP2) antigen (n = 8029).

The goal of this study was to build vascular grafts with better compliance than standard synthetic conduits and with an inner layer stimulating endothelialization while remaining antithrombogenic.
Methods: Tubular vascular conduits made of a scaffold of polyurethane/polycaprolactone combined with a bioactive coating based on chondroitin sulfate (CS) were created using electrospinning and plasma polymerization.
Introduction: Lymph node metastasis is determinant in the prognosis and treatment of endometrioid endometrial cancer (EEC) but the risk-benefit balance of surgical lymph node staging remains controversial.
Objective: Describe the pathways associated with lymph node metastases in EEC detected by whole RNA sequencing.
Methods: RNA-sequencing was performed on a retrospective series of 30 non-metastatic EEC.
Background: The reverse sequence of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, preoperative radiotherapy, mastectomy then immediate breast reconstruction is currently proposed for selected patients with locally advanced breast cancer. Few studies have compared it to the standard sequence of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, mastectomy and radiotherapy with or without differed reconstruction. Our study compares overall (OS) and recurrence-free (RFS) survivals of breast cancer patients treated with reverse sequence compared to the standard technique.

Recent evidence suggests that glaucoma, which is characterized by the progressive death of retinal ganglion cells, could also be associated with disruption of cholesterol homeostasis. In the present study we characterized cholesterol metabolism in a rat model of laser-induced intraocular hypertension, the main risk factor for glaucoma.

The aim of the present study was to assess symptoms potentially related to adverse events experienced by cancer outpatients treated by oral anticancer agents (OAAs) using PROs. Methods Between September 2018 and May 2019, outpatients starting OAAs were included in a 12-week follow-up to assess 15 symptoms listed in the National Cancer Institute PRO Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, using a 5-point scale of severity or frequency.

In rheumatology, the use for axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) would be conceivable in the form of an exercise app. Therefore, a representative survey among axSpA patients was conducted to determine the need for an axSpA exercise app.

We present a QA framework for a study occurring November 2019 to March 2020 involving 504 assay plates detecting four Plasmodium antigens: pan-Plasmodium aldolase and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), histidine-rich protein 2 (HRP2), P. vivax LDH (PvLDH).

The aims of this study were to assess DDI and HDI in outpatients taking oral anticancer drug.
Method: All prescribed and non-prescribed medications, including CAM, were prospectively collected by hospital pharmacists during a structured interview with the patient.
Reproducibility of scientific results is a key element of science and credibility. The lack of reproducibility across many scientific fields has emerged as an important concern. In this piece, we assess mathematical model reproducibility and propose a scorecard for improving reproducibility in this field.

Homogeneously distributed genipin crosslinked nanogels (G-PECs) were obtained with a mean hydrodynamic diameter of ~155 nm and zeta potential of 0.86 ± 4.

Chemically synthesized SLN, palmitoylated or not (pSLN or SLN), and recombinant wild-type rabbit SERCA1a expressed in S. cerevisiae design experimental conditions that provide a deeper understanding of the functional role of SLN on the regulation of SERCA1a.
