The legal precariousness of work relations in the health sector during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a factor of worker suffering.

The present article analyzed the process of precarious work relations in the health sector, demonstrating how this situation generated illness and suffering among workers. The text sought to register how the institutional adoption of neoliberal economic conceptions, of the reduction of State social policies, coupled with a history of cultural rejection of labor rights, provided the attraction of mechanisms of precarious work for the public sector, notably, the outsourcing of labor and the provision of services. In a second moment, the text points out the legal improprieties committed, presenting the consequences of the weakening of the legal bond in the working conditions of these workers, mainly regarding working hours and remuneration, also highlighting how much the dissemination of these links represented a factor of a general reduction in wages and labor and social security rights in the sector.

Complications with PMMA compared with other materials used in cranioplasty: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) has been considered a suitable material for cranioplasty. However, no consensus has been reached concerning the best material for cranioplasty with regard to minimizing complications. Thus, this systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare the complication rates of PMMA with those of autologous bone and titanium mesh.

Impact of Oral Health and Sociodemographic Factors on Quality of Life: A Cross-sectional Study.

The aim of this study was to determine the impact of oral health and socioeconomic variables on the quality of life in a sample of low-income Brazilians. The sample consisted of 400 adults assisted by the Rescuing Smiles Social Program (Pernambuco University) in June 2014 in the town of Arcoverde, Pernambuco. Two 18+ physically and mentally healthy people were chosen to participate in the study per household.

Reaction of pectin and glycidyl methacrylate and ulterior formation of free films by reticulation.

In this work, low-methoxyl pectin was chemically modified by reaction with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) to give a material with low hydrosolubility. After physio-chemical characterization by FT-IR, DSC, and TGA analyses, the methacrylated/modified pectin (Pect-GMA) was crosslinked after the addition of sodium persulfate (SP), that actuates as initiator, at 50 degrees C for 24 and 48h either in the presence or not of aqueous polymethacrylate dispersion (Eudragit RS 30 D) to obtain free films by Teflon plate "casting" process. Different Pect-GMA/Eudragit RS 30 D ratios and SP concentrations were used.

The importance of dentin collagen fibrils on the marginal sealing of adhesive restorations.

This study evaluated the importance of the union between dentin collagen and three different adhesive materials. Sixty Class V restorations were prepared on the buccal and lingual surfaces of 30 recently extracted human premolars, with the cervical margins in dentin and the occlusal margins in enamel. These restorations were distributed to three groups of 20 cavities each based on the employed adhesive system used: Group A: Single Bond; Group B: Prime&Bond NT; Group C: One Coat Bond.
