Synthesis and reaction of the novel complex [AsPh4][OsCl5(H2O). X-ray structure analysis of [AsPh4][OsCl5(H2O)].2EtOH and [AsPh4][OsCl5(EtOH)].EtOH.

The synthesis and characterization of the anionic mononuclear and homobinuclear osmium complexes [AsPh4][OsCl5L].xEtOH [L = H2O, x = 2 (9); L = EtOH, x = 1 (10a); L = py, x = 0 (10b)] and [AsPh4]2[Cl5Os(pyz)OsCl5] (12) (pyz = pyrazine) are described. Upon reduction in a chloride-containing medium, OsO4 (1) affords the osmium(IV) species [OsCl5(H2O)]- (2), which could be isolated by extraction with n-tributyl phosphate (TBP).

[Development of medical and biological research in Eastern Siberia].

The impact of the North conditions on the human body has been studied. There are high morbidity and mortality rates, abnormal pregnancy, premature and abnormal labors, and congenital malformations in the newborn. A complex of medical and prophylactic measures has been worked out to protect human health as a result of the studies of the regularities of general and occupational diseases at some enterprises in the Far North, Yakutia, and Buryatia.

[The morphology of the inflammatory reaction in the parenchymatous organs of mice infested with Toxocara].

The nature and dynamics of inflammatory changes have been studied in the liver and lungs of CBA/j mice infected with T. canis oocysts (Moscow and Irkutsk strains). It has been shown that in larval toxocariasis of mice two peaks of total leukocyte concentration are observed in the peripheral blood, on days 8 and 13-15 of invasion, which reflects terms of larvae migration via liver and lungs.

[The study of experimental and natural rotavirus infection in mice using a heterologous enzyme immunoassay test-system].

Enzyme immunoassay test systems constructed on the basis of heterologous calf and monkey rotaviruses were shown to be applicable for diagnosis and study of the pathogenesis of experimental and natural rotavirus infection of mice.

Experimental infection of Norvegian rats (Rattus norvegicus) with ratpox virus.

Young as well as adult free living Norvegian rats (Rattus norvegicus) were highly susceptible to intranasal, intradermal and natural infections with the ratpox virus belonging to genus Orthopoxvirus. Disseminated disease occurred in infected rats due to generalization of the virus to internal organs. In survivors, virus was excreted for a longer period of time (more than 1 month) in faeces and urine.

[Radioautographic analysis of from peripheral blood and a focus of inflammation in amphibia].

In the peripheral blood of intact amphibians the cells of big lymphocyte type (light-nuclear forms) only are capable to incorporate 3H-thymidine. The implantation of foreign bodies in the subcutaneous lymphatic sac of R. temporaria induced the appearance in the circulating blood of one more cell form (dark-nuclear cells) capable of DNA synthesis.
