[Basaliomas and their treatment].

Despite timely diagnosis of basiliomas, the results of their treatment depend on the size, localization of the process, and duration of the disease. According to some authors, in spite of the encouraging late results of surgery, cryotherapy, laser therapy, short-focus radiotherapy, etc., recurrences developed in 5% of cases, which is evidence that treatment lacks a radical character due to certain factors.

[Zonography in solitary bone cysts].

The zonography method is gaining more and more users today and arouses a definite interest of specialists in medicine. This is due to the peculiarities of the method and the tremendous clinical possibilities which make it possible to improve and accelerate the diagnosis not only of diseases of the lungs and kidneys, but also of some segments of the bone system. The availability of zonography allows it to be used successfully in the diagnosis of various, pathological among others, types of bone fractures, tumors of the skeleton and, therefore, makes it possible to watch the reparative manifestations and the development of the process.

[Surgical treatment of duodenal ulcer].

On the basis of literature data and personal experience with more than 1000 vagotomies in patients with the ulcerous disease the authors make a conclusion that the classical resection of the stomach must be used extremely rarely for the surgical treatment of a duodenal ulcer. In non-complicated duodenal ulcers the method of choice is believed to be the isolated selective proximal vagotomy. For special indications the antrumectomy with vagotomy should be performed.
