Data And Sources: Through a search across PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Web of Science, LILACS, Cochrane Library databases, and Google Scholar, this review identified studies pertinent to pH-responsive dental materials, excluding resin-modified glass ionomer cements.
Study Selection: From the 981 records identified, 19 in vitro studies were included, concentrating on resin-based composite resins (50 %), dentin adhesives (25 %), and sealants (25 %).
Unlabelled: The amount of residual dentin thickness and tooth position in the dental arch is crucial to determine whether an intraradicular post should be used. This study aimed to compare stress distribution on the root dentin of an endodontically treated tooth rehabilitated with CAD/CAM milled glass fiber posts (MP), cast metal posts (CMP), or prefabricated posts (PP) with or without ferrule support, using the finite element method.
Materials And Methods: A human upper central incisor was selected, scanned, and treated endodontically.
This study aimed to assess the biological properties of two ready-to-use bioceramic sealers (EndoSequence BC Sealer - EBCS; Bio-C Sealer - BCS) on osteoblastic lineage cells. MC3T3 osteoblast-like cells were exposed to extracts of bioceramic materials. Cytotoxicity was evaluated using the MTT method, genotoxicity was assessed by the micronucleus test and the expression of BMP1, BMP2 and ALP was measured by RT-qPCR, after 1, 3 and 7 days.

Introduction: Prospective registration of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) is highly recommended to ensure research transparency and prevent selective outcome reporting (SOR). This study aimed to evaluate the adherence to registration and the presence of SOR in RCTs published in endodontic journals over the past 5 years.
Methods: Electronic searches were conducted in PubMed and the libraries of the Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, European Endodontic Journal, and Australian Endodontic Journal.

Objective: To investigate the effect of reducing exposure time to at-home bleaching gel on color change and tooth sensitivity.
Materials And Methods: The search was carried out using PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, EMBASE, LILACS, Cochrane. Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) were included involving adult patients who have never undergone bleaching treatment before (P), subjected to bleaching with a reduced exposure time to the at-home bleaching agent (I) compared to those who used it for the time indicated by the manufacturer (C), to evaluate the effects on color change and tooth sensitivity (O).
Introduction: Emergency rooms and intensive care units in hospitals are physically and mentally stressful for health personnel and can negatively affect them.
Objectives: To evaluate and to compare the quality of life and quality of sleep of emergency room and intensive care unit personnel.
Methods: This is an analytical cross-sectional study conducted with 117 civil servants, including physicians, nurses, and licensed practical nurses.
Long COVID-19 has been characterized by the presence of symptoms lasting longer than 4 weeks after the acute infection. The pathophysiology of clinical manifestations still lacks knowledge. The objective of this paper was to evaluate metabolite abundance in the saliva of long COVID patients 60 days after hospital discharge.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFActomyosin contractility represents an ancient feature of eukaryotic cells participating in many developmental and homeostasis events, including tissue morphogenesis, muscle contraction and cell migration, with dysregulation implicated in various pathological conditions, such as cancer. At the molecular level, actomyosin comprises actin bundles and myosin motor proteins that are sensitive to posttranslational modifications like phosphorylation. While the molecular components of actomyosin are well understood, the coordination of contractility by extracellular and intracellular signals, particularly from cellular signalling pathways, remains incompletely elucidated.

In this framework, our goal in this study was to analyze the media representation of scientists in Brazil during the first year of this global public health crisis. To this end, we applied a research protocol and, using statistical techniques, quantitatively analyzed newscasts on the country's main TV news program, Jornal Nacional.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic challenged the scientific community to find and develop a vaccine to fight the disease. However, problems with achieving high vaccine coverage have emerged, even among high-risk groups such as healthcare workers (HCWs).
Objective: The objective of this study is to examine factors that influence HCW's and the general population's adherence to COVID-19 vaccination and national policies to vaccinate HCWs and other target groups.

Objective: To analyze the impact of the fiscal austerity policy (PAF) on health spending in Brazilian municipalities, considering population size and source of funds.
Methods: The interrupted time series method was used to analyze the effect of the PAF on total expenditure, resources transferred by the Federal Government, and own/state per capita resources allocated to health in the municipalities. The time series analyzed covered the period from 2010 to 2019, every six months.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of rapid palatal expansion (RPE) using Haas-type expanders on children's oral health-related quality of life (OHRQOL) and compare said effect with that previously reported for the use of Hyrax-type expanders.
Materials And Methods: Forty participants aged 8-10 years with transverse maxillary deficiency were treated using Haas appliances. OHRQOL was measured using the CPQ before RPE, during RPE (T), at the end of RPE (T), and 1 month after appliance removal (T).

Introduction: Dental caries with pulp involvement potentially impacts the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate whether clinical consequences of pulp involvement due to dental caries impacts OHRQoL of children and adolescents.
Methods: Observational studies evaluating whether children/adolescents (population) with pulp involvement due to caries (exposition) compared with those without it (comparison) have more negative impact on their OHRQoL (outcome) were included.
Ulcerated lesions have been observed in SARS-CoV-2 patients and their treatment is a challenge. We aim to report the treatment of oral lesions with low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in a patient with SARS-CoV-2. The patient diagnosed with COVID-19 was admitted to the intensive care unit, on mechanical ventilation, and on a nasogastric tube diet that persisted due to oral lesions.

Despite their potential role in arbovirus transmission, the viromes of sylvatic mosquitoes remain largely unexplored. These mosquitoes may also harbor insect-specific viruses (ISVs), affecting arboviral transmission dynamics.
