Objectives: To explore the experiences of older people living in Australian residential aged care facilities (RACFs) and families of older people living in RACFs, regarding the process of Resident of the Day (ROD; sometimes referred to as a resident review) and their knowledge of how these assessments inform care planning.

Methods: Semi-structured interviews were used to engage residents and families in conversations about their experiences and knowledge of the assessment associated with ROD and subsequent care planning. A reflexive thematic analysis was used to generate findings.

Many institutions have adopted a 'scalpel-bougie-endotracheal tube (ETT)' technique based on evidence produced by the 4th National Audit Project of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and 2015 Difficult Airway Society guidelines. We made a modification to the traditional 'scalpel-bougie-ETT' technique, using a shortened bougie and replacing the ETT with a cuffed Melker airway in a preassembled device (called 'Secure Airway for Front-of-neck Emergencies' (SAFE airway device)), which we felt might reduce cognitive load on a single operator in an emergency CICO situation.

Methods: A cohort study of methadone and buprenorphine providers from September 14, 2021 to April 15, 2022 measured the proportion of 6 treatment accommodations implemented at 3 time periods: before COVID-19, during Arizona's COVID-19 shutdown, and at the time of the survey completion. Methods: Arizonans receiving treatment for opioid use disorder from methadone clinics and buprenorphine providers during COVID-19 were interviewed about hepatitis C virus testing, curative treatment, and knowledge about screening recommendations. Interviews were conducted with 121 people from August 4, 2021 to October 10, 2021.
