Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the clinical and laboratory features of children diagnosed with COVID-19 and pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (PIMS) at a Turkish hospital between November 2020 and March 2021.
  • A total of 115 pediatric patients were examined, revealing common symptoms like fever and cough, with a notable lack of conjunctivitis and skin rash in PIMS cases.
  • Key findings indicate that longer fever duration, diarrhea, low platelet counts, and high neutrophil counts are important indicators for diagnosing PIMS in children.
