Methods: We searched the Cochrane, Medline, Trip, and EMBASE databases from 2019. The review included all available studies of COVID-19 patients published in the English language and studied the clinical characteristics, comorbidities, and disease outcomes from the beginning of the pandemic.
Introduction: Yemen was one of the last countries in the world to declare the first case of the pandemic, on 10 April 2020. Fear and concerns of catastrophic outcomes of the epidemic in Yemen were immediately raised, as the country is facing a complex humanitarian crisis. The purpose of this report is to describe the epidemiological situation in Yemen during the first 2 months of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic.

Methods And Results: A prospective study was conducted on 143 patients with clinically confirmed AKP.
The objective of this study was to develop novel topical drug delivery systems of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug diclofenac diethylamine (DDEA). Toward this objective, DDEA was loaded into two nanosystems, the oil in water (O/W) nanoemulsion (DDEA-NE) and the gold nanorods (GNR) that were conjugated to DDEA, forming DDEA-GNR. The DDEA-NE and DDEA-GNR were characterized in terms of particle size, zeta potential, morphology, thermodynamic stability, DDEA loading efficiency, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

Stirring of the latter with peracetylated α-d-gluco- and galacto-pyranosyl bromides in DMF afforded the corresponding pyrimidine thioglycosides. On the other hand, treatment of 6-amino-5-aryl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyrimidine-4-thiolate salts with hydrochloric acid produced the corresponding pyrimidine-4-thioles, which on stirring with α-d-gluco- and galacto-pyranosyl bromides in sodium hydride and DMF gave the corresponding pyrimidine thioglycosides.

Materials And Methods: Our study comprised patients suffering from vague craniofacial pain resulting from elongated styloid processes, presented to the outpatient clinic of the oral and maxillofacial surgery department, October 6 University Hospital. The length of styloid processes was measured on 3D-CT X-rays.
S100P, a calcium-binding protein, is known to advance tumor progression and metastasis in pancreatic and several other cancers. Herein is described the in silico identification of a putative binding pocket of S100P to identify, synthesize and evaluate novel small molecules with the potential to selectively bind S100P and inhibit its activation of cell survival and metastatic pathways. The virtual screening of a drug-like database against the S100P model led to the identification of over 100 clusters of diverse scaffolds.

Objective: To review the psychological Effect of COVID-19 on medical health-care workers.
Conclusions: Social support is a cornerstone in facing COVID-19 and uplifting the spirits of both patients and their doctors along with the whole medical staff dealing with the pandemic.
Background: Carnosic acid (CA) is one of the main constituents in rosemary extract. It possesses valuable pharmacological properties, including anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-cancer activities. Numerous in vitro and in vivo studies investigated the anticancer profile of CA and emphasized its potentiality for cancer treatment.

Gold nanorods (GNR) functionalized with thiolated poly ethylene glycol (PEG-SH) or thiolated PEGylated cholesterol (Chol-PEG-SH) moieties were conjugated with Fluconazole and loaded into poloxamer 407 hydrogel. The obtained nanocomplexes; PEG-Fluc-GNR and Chol-Fluc-GNR were characterized by optical spectroscopy, hydrodynamic size and effective surface charge.

Waterborne are a major reservoir of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Carbapenem-resistance, especially when mediated by transferable carbapenemase-encoding genes, is spreading worldwide and causing dramatically limiting treatment options. In our country, studies for the detection of carbapenem resistance in drinking water do not exist; therefore, this work was carried out to determine the prevalence of carbapenem-resistant genes "bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, and bla" among isolated from drinking water in Khartoum, Sudan.

However, whether cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) contributes to the anti-inflammatory activity of cilostazol in colitis is still unknown. In the current study, we investigated the role of cAMP/silent information regulator-1 (SIRT-1) pathway in the protective effect of cilostazol using rat model of acetic acid-induced colitis.

Herein, the potential inhibition of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt pathway, and other pathways of the MCF-7 cell-line, was investigated upon treatment with gold nanorods (GNR) conjugated with a PI3K inhibitor drug. The results revealed that the coupling of GNR with the drug drastically modulated the expression of PI3Kα at the gene and protein levels compared to the drug or GNR alone.

This research was constructed to uncover the potential therapeutic application of osteoblasts transplantation, generated upon culturing male rat bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) in osteogenic medium (OM), OM containing gold (Au-NPs) or gold/hydroxyapatite (Au/HA-NPs) nanoparticles, in ovariectomized rats to counteract osteoporosis.
Methods: Forty rats were randomized into: (1) negative control, (2) osteoporotic rats, whereas groups (3), (4) and (5) constituted osteoporotic rats treated with osteoblasts yielded from culturing BM-MSCs in OM, OM plus Au-NPs or Au/HA-NPs, respectively.

This selectivity makes delivering therapeutic and diagnostic materials across the BBB very challenging. In this study, different shapes and sizes of gold nanoparticles (GNP) were synthesized and functionalized with five different thiolated ligands to obtain GNP with various surface chemistries.
