Anemia is very common among end stage patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). In this investigation, hematological parameters were examined in patients with end stage chronic renal failure from Khartoum, Sudan. A total of 70 patients and additional 30 healthy subjects were included in the study.

The glutathione S-transferase (GST) genes encode enzymes that mediate the detoxification of xenobiotics by catalyzing the conjugation of glutathione (GSH) to xenobiotic substrates. Aim: In this study, we aimed to analyze the genetic and acquired risk factors for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of the lower extremities among Sudanese women.

Methods: A total of 136 women were enrolled in the study, including 75 DVT patients and 61 healthy controls. Demographic and clinical data were collected using a specific questionnaire.
