Lapatinib, a dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has poor water solubility, which results in poor and incomplete absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. To overcome this obstacle, we designed a stable and high-loaded liposomal formulation encapsulating lapatinib and examined its therapeutic efficacy in vitro and in vivo on TUBO and 4T1 cell lines. We also assessed the impact of liposomal lapatinib on the extent of the tumor and spleen-infiltrating lymphocytes and the autophagy and apoptosis gene expression within the tumor site.

Temperature quench echoes generated by applying two successive cooling signals have therefore been analyzed in terms of the temperature-temperature correlation function of the protease within the harmonic approximation. An exponentially decaying brand of behavior has been found for the calculated echo depth values with increasing time, which has accordingly led to a much small dephasing time of about 150 fs, revealing a significant anharmonicity and therefore an overall structural stiffness for the COVID-19 main protease.

Effect of environment coupling on the quantum-biological phenomenon of proton tunneling in the hydrogen bonds of the adenine-thymine base pair in DNA was modeled within the framework of quantum statistics and perturbation theory. A number of important thermodynamic indicators including partition function, free energy, and entropy were then calculated and examined. The proton was then assumed to be subject to an attraction represented by a double-well potential energy surface with a small asymmetry, which was considered as the perturbation introduced to the system.

Further, curcumin potential for cisplatin and doxorubicin (Dox) co-therapy was studied.
Materials And Methods: The combined cytotoxic effect of these phytochemicals at varying dose ratios were examined using the MTT colorimetric assay.
Objectives: Dendritic cells (DCs) play a critical role in activation of T cell responses. Induction of type1 T helper (Th) immune response is essential to generate protective immunity against cutaneous leishmaniasis. The intrinsic tendency of liposomes to have interaction with antigen-presenting cells is the main rationale to utilize liposomes as antigen carriers.

By means of the stationary phase theory and density matrix formalism in quantum optics, we study theoretically the Goos-Hänchen shifts in both reflected and transmitted light beams. It is realized that as a result of the interaction between Rydberg and excited states in such a four-level atom-light coupling scheme the maximum positive and negative Goos-Hänchen shifts can be obtained in reflected and transmitted light beams owning to the effect of the Rydberg electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) or Rydberg electromagnetically induced absorption.

Folic acid (FA) binding protein, a glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol anchored cell surface receptor for folate, is overexpressed in several human tumors, whereas it is highly restricted in normal tissues. Therefore, in this study, FA, polyethylene glycol (PEG), and Fe3O4 nanoparticles multifunctionalized short multiwall carbon nanotubes (PEG-FA-SMWCNT@Fe3O4) were synthesized by conjugating folate, PEG, and magnetite nanoparticles with carboxylated multiwall carbon nanotubes.

Optical properties of zigzag and armchair graphyne nanoribbon (GNR) sheet were investigated. Effect of increasing the width of nanoribbon on optical properties and optical band gap in particular was also studied. Calculations were based on density functional theory (DFT) and the results showed that these structures were semiconductors with the optical band gap of about 1-3.

In this study, the protective effects of vitamin C and n-acetylcysteine (NAC) on the toxicity of rifampin on HepG2 cells were investigated. Human hepatoma cells (HepG2) were cultured in 96-well M of rifampin in the presence of microplate and exposed to 10, 20, 50 and 100 vitamin C (0.

Topical treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis is an attractive alternative avoiding toxicities of parenteral therapy while being administered through a simple painless route. Recently liposomal formulations of amphotericin B have been increasingly used in the treatment of several types of leishmaniasis.

The aim of this study was to develop a SN-38 nanoparticulate delivery system to evaluate the in vivo blood profile and biodistribution properties of nanoparticles (NPs). Poly lactide-co-glycolide (PLGA) NPs that were covalently bound to polyethylene glycol-folate (PEG-FOL) were prepared, and their in vivo biodistribution in rats was investigated.
