Introduction: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have improved the therapeutic arsenal in outpatient oncology care; however, data on necessity of hospitalizations associated with immune-related adverse events (irAEs) are scarce. Here, we characterized hospitalizations of patients undergoing ICI, from the prospective cohort study of the immune cooperative oncology group (ICOG) Hannover.
Methods: Between 12/2019 and 06/2022, 237 patients were included.
Endometriosis is a chronic, estrogen-dependent disorder associated with the presence of endometrial cells mainly in the pelvic cavity, causing systemic immune inflammation, infertility, epigenetic dysregulation of differential DNA methylation, coelomic metaplasia, and pain. It affects approximately 10-12% of women. Despite decades of research, full pathophysiology, a diagnostic roadmap, and clinical management strategies for endometriosis are not yet fully elucidated.

Methods: HepG2 cells were treated with Gal in the presence or absence of EX-527, a SIRT1-specific inhibitor, for 24 h.
Introduction: Proximal femur fractures are one of the most common injuries in older adults representing a serious health condition in developed as well as developing countries.
Aim: This study aimed to assess the hospitalization costs of the proximal femur fracture.
Methods: We conducted a prospective descriptive study spread over six months about patients hospitalized and operated on for proximal femur fractures.
Background And Objectives: Transfusion safety may be becoming dependent on the financial resources made available for transfusion structures and may vary between high-income countries (HIC) and low-to-middle-income countries (LMIC). To assess whether there is a difference in the reported TR between these two groups of countries, we examined TR reported in Tunis the capital of Tunisia, a LMIC, and compared their frequency with reported TR in HIC.
Materials And Methods: Data of TR were collected from transfusion incident report (TIR) forms declared by healthcare facilities in Tunis between 2015 and 2019.
Acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) is a life-threatening emergency that is associated with major morbidity and mortality. Arterial dissections, particularly the brachiocephalic artery, can remain as a residual dissection after type A aortic dissection repair. We present a rare case of brachiocephalic artery dissection due to the clamping effect and the management of ATAAD patients.

He presented to our hospital with renal artery stenosis and an extra-renal pseudoaneurysm at the anastomotic site of the transplanted kidney. This can cause graft dysfunction and hypertension due to impairment of arterial perfusion in the transplanted kidney.

Physicians' adherence to management guidelines for AR results in better patient outcomes. Therefore, the present study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of primary health care practitioners (PHCPs) towards allergic rhinitis guidelines in Saudi Arabia.

However, none had focused on antimicrobial stewardship (AMS), a core component of tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR). This paper documents an effective approach to developing a program to increase AMS capacity in four African countries: Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia as part of the Commonwealth Partnerships for Antimicrobial Stewardship (CwPAMS) program.

Due to the various consequences of chemotherapeutic treatments on body hemostasis, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of Adriamycin 60 mg/m and Cytoxan 600 mg/m (AC) chemotherapy on the serum levels of Cr, Pb, and the percent α-diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) inhibition.
Methods: This study was performed on 50 patients with breast cancer at two separate sampling times, the first at the initiation of chemotherapy and the last at the end of three courses of the AC chemotherapy treatment.
To determine the prevalence of vitamin B12 deficiency in a Tunisian population with type 2 diabetes (T2D) on metformin treatment for more than three years and to identify its risk factors. This is a cross-sectional study conducted on 257 patients with T2D treated with metformin for at least three years. Patients were divided into two groups according to their vitamin B12 status.

Materials And Methods: In this in vitro study, 200 caries-free upper and lower premolars and molars were selected. A standard deep Class II cavities was created in the middle of the mesial surface of all teeth.
Objectives: To determine the clinical features of patients with chronic rhinosinusitis at a tertiary hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We enrolled 660 male and female participants with medical records indicating a history of chronic rhinosinusitis between 2021 and 2022.
Background: Decision of performing prostate biopsy in men with Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System (PI-RADS) 3 findings in prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is challenging as they have a low but still relevant risk of harboring significant prostate cancer (sPC).
Objective: To identify clinical predictors of sPC in men with PI-RADS 3 lesions in prostate MRI and to analyze the hypothetical effect of incorporating prostate-specific antigen density (PSAD) into biopsy decision.
Design, Setting, And Participants: We analyzed a retrospective multinational cohort from ten academic centers comprising 1476 men who underwent a combined prostate biopsy (MRI targeted plus systematic biopsy) between February 2012 and April 2021 due to a PI-RADS 3 lesion in prostate MRI.
Background: Oncological patients can benefit substantially from treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). However, there is a growing awareness of immune-related adverse events (irAE). Especially ICI-mediated neurological adverse events (nAE(+)), are tough to diagnose and biomarkers to identify patients at risk are missing.

Objective: To explore the impact of vitamin D deficiency (VD-) in the pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome (MetS).
Materials And Methods: Models of (VD-) and (MetS) were induced in male Wister rats by dividing into four groups, group-I for the development of (VD-) by intraperitoneal injection of paricalcitol for 3 weeks, group II for (MetS) model by adding 10% fructose to their drinking water for 8 weeks, the group III for induction of combined (VD- + MetS) and group-IV as a control. Ultimately, the parameters of (VD-) and (MetS) were assessed at zero time and after 8 weeks.
Statement Of The Problem: Iron overload in β-thalassemia major leads to oxidative damage to tissues, which may have an important role in the onset and progression of oral diseases.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the salivary oxidative stress indicators, total protein, iron, and pH in children with β-thalassemia major and their relationship with the status of dental caries in comparison with healthy children.
Materials And Method: In this case-control study, 68 β-thalassemia major and healthy children, who were age- and sex matched, were selected.

Available tests to detect clinically significant prostate cancer frequently lead to overdiagnosis and overtreatment. Our study assessed the feasibility of combining a urinary biomarker-based risk score (SelectMDx®) and multiparametric MRI outcomes in order to identify patients with prostate cancer on prostate biopsy with increased accuracy and reliability. Samples of 74 men with suspicion of prostate cancer and available multiparametric MRI were analysed in a prospective cross-sectional study design.

Materials And Methods: To longitudinally evaluate changes in PCa treatment strategies in urological and radiotherapy departments in Germany, a link to a survey was sent to 134 institutions covering two representative baseline weeks prior to the pandemic and 13 weeks from March 2020 to February 2021.
Background: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are promising biomarkers of hematological malignancies, including acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL). Recent studies revealed that miRNA single nucleotide polymorphisms (miR-SNP) modulate cancer risk by regulating various signaling pathways. However, their association with altered risk of ALL yielded inconsistent results.
