Introduction: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have improved the therapeutic arsenal in outpatient oncology care; however, data on necessity of hospitalizations associated with immune-related adverse events (irAEs) are scarce. Here, we characterized hospitalizations of patients undergoing ICI, from the prospective cohort study of the immune cooperative oncology group (ICOG) Hannover.

Methods: Between 12/2019 and 06/2022, 237 patients were included.

Background And Objectives: Transfusion safety may be becoming dependent on the financial resources made available for transfusion structures and may vary between high-income countries (HIC) and low-to-middle-income countries (LMIC). Brachiocephalic Artery Dissection Following Type A Aortic Dissection Repair.

Acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) is a life-threatening emergency that is associated with major morbidity and mortality. Arterial dissections, particularly the brachiocephalic artery, can remain as a residual dissection after type A aortic dissection repair. We present a rare case of brachiocephalic artery dissection due to the clamping effect and the management of ATAAD patients.

Pseudoaneurysm and Renal Artery Stenosis Post-renal Transplant: A Rare Presentation.

We report the case of a 51-year-old gentleman who underwent living renal transplantation in Pakistan for end-stage renal disease one and a half years ago. He presented to our hospital with renal artery stenosis and an extra-renal pseudoaneurysm at the anastomotic site of the transplanted kidney. This can cause graft dysfunction and hypertension due to impairment of arterial perfusion in the transplanted kidney.

Background: Recently the carcinogenic and toxic effects of some heavy metals such as chromium (Cr), and lead (Pb) through the mechanism of oxidative stress have been reported. Due to the various consequences of chemotherapeutic treatments on body hemostasis, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of Adriamycin 60 mg/m and Cytoxan 600 mg/m (AC) chemotherapy on the serum levels of Cr, Pb, and the percent α-diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) inhibition.

To determine the prevalence of vitamin B12 deficiency in a Tunisian population with type 2 diabetes (T2D) on metformin treatment for more than three years and to identify its risk factors. This is a cross-sectional study conducted on 257 patients with T2D treated with metformin for at least three years. Patients were divided into two groups according to their vitamin B12 status.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the salivary oxidative stress indicators, total protein, iron, and pH in children with β-thalassemia major and their relationship with the status of dental caries in comparison with healthy children.
