This study investigates the relationship between corporate energy efficiency (EE) and financial performance (FP), emphasizing the moderating role of environmental concerns. Grounded in the Enlightened Value Maximization (EVM) and Natural Resource-Based View (NRBV) theories, the research hypothesizes that the EE-FP relationship strengthens in the presence of environmental concerns. Utilizing firm-level data, the analysis incorporates marginal effect analysis to explore how incremental improvements in environmental management and emissions management practices impact financial outcomes.

The clinical complexity and challenging management strategies associated with these aneurysms pose significant difficulties for clinicians. This circumstance is exemplified in our case report, detailing an iatrogenic aneurysm of the splenic artery that emerged secondary to a pancreatic fistula following a median pancreatectomy performed for a Frantz tumor.

In this view, the current research explored total and available metal(oid)s in surface soils and assessed the associated hazards using pollution indices, PMF modeling, PCA, and Montecarlo probabilistic human risk assessment with 10,000 repetitions. The mean concentrations of Cd, Pb, As, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, and Fe were 0.

The central nervous system (CNS) is unusually implicated in sarcoidosis patients. We describe a rare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in a case of isolated neurosarcoidosis.

We report a case of bilateral primary adrenal diffuse large B cell lymphoma and perform a review of the literature. Our patient was a 55-year-old man who presented night sweats and a feeling of cardiac palpitations all evolving in a context of deterioration of his general condition.

Design, Settings And Participants: We used data from the cross-sectional Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey 2017-2018. We analysed the planning status of the last live birth 3 years preceding the survey of 20,127 ever-married women of reproductive age.
Objective: This explorative study aims to identify the gaps in COVID-19 management and their consequences on physicians in terms of contracting infection and psychological well-being during the early phase of the pandemic.
Design, Settings And Participants: We conducted a nationwide cross-sectional online study to collect information from 420 intern doctors who were at their internship in government medical colleges from February to August 2020.
Methods: We performed univariate and bivariate analyses to assess COVID-19 management.
The pathologies and lesions affecting the sesamoid bones of the hallux are uncommon and can be easily overlooked. Among them, sesamoiditis is a relatively rare condition known to cause severe great toe pain; lack of awareness of this particular entity leads to misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, and contributes to significant morbidity. Herein, we present a chronic sesamoiditis case occurring on a medial bipartite sesamoid bone, presenting as chronic great toe pain.

The goal of transplantation is to restore normal renal function and improve their quality of life. However, some patients may experience complications after transplantation, including the development of calculi or tumors in their native kidneys.

This article has the objective of evaluating the effects of cellulose acetate microfibers (CAFs) sourced from discarded cigarette filters (CFs) as fiber reinforcement on the physico-mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of cementitious materials. To do so, mortar samples were prepared using different incorporated quantities of fibers (0.

Our breakpoint unit root test and Markov switching regression (MRS) analyses using West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil price and Standard & Poor's 500 (S&P 500) market index show that among the major economic events, the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is the most significant contributor to market volatilities. Furthermore, our MRS results show that the relationship between oil price and the stock market is regime-dependent; the stock market experiences substantial and positive shocks in a volatile oil price regime.

The benefits ecosystems bring to individuals' lives and general well-being are referred to as ecosystem services. Land use/land cover (LULC) could influence various ecosystems and have implications for natural habitats and the quality of life.

Moreover, MFCs play an important role in remediation of environmental pollutants from wastewater with power generation. This work focuses on the evaluation of ferroelectric perovskite materials as a new class of non-precious photocatalysts for MFC cathode construction.

A new simple and fast high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was also developed for the quantification of Gem without dilution of the infusion bags.
Methods: Individual doses of Gem preparations were retrospectively analysed over a 1-year period to determine the frequency of prepared doses.
Nutcracker syndrome (NCS) belongs to a group of rare vascular disorders. It refers to compression of the left renal vein (LRV) generally between the abdominal aorta (AA) and the superior mesenteric artery (SMA). It is one of the most unknown causes of chronic abdominal pain.

The diagnosis of this localization is difficult because the clinical and radiological findings are often misleading and the diagnosis is often worn during surgery and after histopathological examination of the surgical specimen. We report the case of a patient who consulted for primary infertility, with a clinical finding as the only anomaly significantly large uterus, and imaging pointing strongly toward an ovarian multilocular cyst, and in which the discovery of hydatid cyst was accidental intraoperative with double localization uterine and omental.

The shutdown interval for the COVID-19 outbreaks has turned into an ecological experiment, allowing researchers to explore the influence of human/industrial operations on air quality. In this study, we have observed and examined the spatial pattern of air pollutants, specifically CO, NO, SO, O3 as well as AOD Over Bangladesh.

The present work is the first investigation of the electrocatalytic performances of ZrPO as a cathode in a single-chamber Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) for the conversion of chemical energy from wastewater to bioelectricity. This catalyst was prepared by a coprecipitation method, then characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), ultraviolet-visible-near-infrared spectrophotometry (UV-Vis-NIR), and cyclic voltammetry analyses. The acid-basic characteristics of the surface were probed by using 2-butanol decomposition.
