Acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a rare drug-induced pustular eruption characterised by the rapid onset of superficial pinhead pustules. We discuss the case of a 27-year-old man who presented with a generalised pustular eruption on the neck, trunk and limbs. He commenced upadacitinib for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD) 6 months before developing the rash, and the dose was increased from 15 to 30 mg daily, 3 months prior.

Bleeding Mystery Unveiled: A Case of Acquired Hemophilia A in the Shadow of Multiple Myeloma.

This case report is of a 50-year-old woman who had a working diagnosis of von Willebrand disease (vWD) due to a history of bleeding complications and continued to experience recurrent bleeding incidents and hematoma. A workup revealed multiple lytic lesions, and a bone marrow biopsy yielded the diagnosis of multiple myeloma. After stem cell transplantation, the patient's factor VIII levels normalized, supporting acquired factor VIII deficiency due to an autoimmune phenomenon.

Chronic chemogenetic activation of hippocampal progenitors enhances adult neurogenesis and modulates anxiety-like behavior and fear extinction learning.

Adult hippocampal neurogenesis is a lifelong process that involves the integration of newborn neurons into the hippocampal network, and plays a role in cognitive function and the modulation of mood-related behavior. Here, we sought to address the impact of chemogenetic activation of adult hippocampal progenitors on distinct stages of progenitor development, including quiescent stem cell activation, progenitor turnover, differentiation and morphological maturation. We find that hM3Dq-DREADD-mediated activation of nestin-positive adult hippocampal progenitors recruits quiescent stem cells, enhances progenitor proliferation, increases doublecortin-positive newborn neuron number, accompanied by an acceleration of differentiation and morphological maturation, associated with increased dendritic complexity.

Painless legs and moving toe syndrome (PoLMT) is a rare syndrome characterized by involuntary movements of the toe without pain. The exact etiology of the patient's PoLMT is unknown. We present a case of PoLMT in 45-year-old woman with a history of haloperidol intake for 10 months.

Delphi Consensus on Diagnostic Criteria for LUMBAR Syndrome.

Objective: To develop consensus on diagnostic criteria for LUMBAR syndrome, the association of segmental infantile hemangiomas that affect the Lower body with Urogenital anomalies, Ulceration, spinal cord Malformations, Bony defects, Anorectal malformations, Arterial anomalies and/or Renal anomalies.

Study Design: These diagnostic criteria were developed by an expert multidisciplinary and multi-institutional team based on analysis of peer-reviewed data, followed by electronic-Delphi consensus of a panel of 61 international pediatric specialists.

Results: After 2 Delphi rounds, a 92% or higher level of agreement was reached for each Delphi statement.

Performance of Home-Based and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring in Obese Children and Their Correlation With End Organ Damage.

Background: The increasing prevalence of childhood obesity has led to a corresponding increase in hypertension among children, necessitating early identification of subclinical target organ damage for accurate cardiovascular risk assessment. However, in the pediatric population, there is a paucity of literature comparing ambulatory and home blood pressure monitoring, and this knowledge gap is exacerbated by limited access to ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) facilities, particularly in developing countries, where pediatricians often resort to home blood BP monitoring as the preferred option.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study with 60 obese children (aged 5-18 years) at tertiary health care in central India, we aimed to comprehensively characterize blood pressure profiles, including office, ambulatory, and home, and investigated their correlations with indicators of end-organ damage.

Clinical Management of Mantle Cell Lymphoma With Concurrent Vascular Complications: A Case Report.

This is a case of a 70-year-old patient with no past medical history but a significant family history of cancer, who was admitted with acute pulmonary embolism and left lower extremity deep vein thrombosis concerning malignancy. Further investigations revealed mantle cell lymphoma. This case highlights the complex clinical management of patients presenting with concurrent hematological malignancy and vascular complications.

Purpose: Post-hemorrhagic ventricular dilation (PHVD) leads to developmental delays in premature infants, yet the optimal timing of neurosurgical interventions is unknown. Neuroimaging modalities have emerged to delineate injury and follow the progression of PHVD. Fronto-temporal horn ratio (FTHR) is used as a marker of ventricular dilation and can be a standardized tool to direct the timing of neurosurgical intervention.

Spatial correspondence of cortical activity measured with whole head fNIRS and fMRI: Toward clinical use within subject.

Functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) both measure the hemodynamic response, and so both imaging modalities are expected to have a strong correspondence in regions of cortex adjacent to the scalp. To assess whether fNIRS can be used clinically in a manner similar to fMRI, 22 healthy adult participants underwent same-day fMRI and whole-head fNIRS testing while they performed separate motor (finger tapping) and visual (flashing checkerboard) tasks. Analyses were conducted within and across subjects for each imaging approach, and regions of significant task-related activity were compared on the cortical surface.

The challenge in implementing the same using hardware for diagnosis fails when classification boundaries are mismatched, as there are more chances of misinterpreting the classes.

Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy can be achieved in thin ferromagnetic multilayer structures, when the anisotropy is driven by carefully engineered interfaces. Devices with multiple interfaces are disadvantageous for our application in superconducting spintronics, where the current perpendicular to plane is affected by the interfaces.

Synthesis of chiral azides from C-2 substituted glycals and their transformation to C3-glycoconjugates and α-triazolo-naphthalene polyol.

A Lewis-acid-mediated highly regio- and stereoselective chiral azidation of C2-substituted glycals is reported. This strategy provides excellent, scalable, and mild reaction conditions for the stereoselective introduction of the azido group at the C3-position of various C2-substituted glycals. The reactivity of the various glycals reveals that the electron-withdrawing behavior of the C2-group is crucial for C3-selectivity.
