Relationship Between the Periodontal Status of Pregnant Women and the Incidence and Severity of Pre-term and/or Low Birth Weight Deliveries: A Retrospective Observational Case-Control Study.

Background: Literature worldwide has linked periodontitis to preterm births and/or low-birth-weight infants. However, to our knowledge, research on this topic is scarce in India. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) reports that South Asian nations, particularly India, have the highest rates of preterm births and low-birth-weight infants as well as periodontitis due to poor socioeconomic conditions.

A Questionnaire Study to Assess Patients With Cleft Lip and Palate for Their Oral Health-Related Quality of Life.

Aim: The purpose of this survey was to assess the quality of life of patients with cleft lips and palates in relation to their dental health.

Materials And Methods: Between January 2022 and December 2022, 50 people between the age of eight and 15 years who had treatment for cleft lip and/or palate were part of a study. A questionnaire was administered to the subjects, including questions pertaining to their general well-being and dental hygiene.
