A Clinical Study of Malignant Sino-Nasal Tumors.

The sino-nasal cavities represent an anatomical region affected by a variety of tumors with clinical, etiological, genetic and pathological features, which are distinct from tumors commonly encountered in the area of head and neck cancers. We have undertaken this study with the aim of assessing clinical profile, various treatment modalities and outcome of patients with malignant sino-nasal tumors. In this prospective study of two years, done in a rural tertiary care hospital of India, 40 patients with malignant neoplastic tumors of nasal cavity, sinuses and nasopharynx were analyzed for their clinic-pathological and radiological profile and surgical management.

Tumors of the ear can be benign or malignant. They can occur on the external ear or in the ear canal, the middle ear, and inner ear. Tumors in different areas of the ear behave differently.

Hemangiopericytoma an Incidental Parotid Swelling: a Rare Case Report.

Hemangiopericytoma of the parotid gland is a very rare presentation in the head and neck region. It occurs mainly in the lower extremities, retroperitoneum, and pelvis. Here we reported a case of 14-year female patient present with painless swelling of the right cheek over the parotid region since 5 years.

Use of Latissimus Dorsi Myocutaneous Island Flap for Pharyngeal Reconstruction in Setting of Postoperative Wound Infection in Salvage Laryngectomy.

Salvage laryngectomy frequently associated with more postoperative complication as compared with primary total laryngectomy. It carries a high risk of postoperative infection with reported rates of 40-61%. Problem related to local wound healing, especially development of pharyngo-cutaneous fistula constitutes the most common postoperative complication in these patients.

Use of Combined PMMC and Nasolabial Flap for Reconstruction of Full Thickness Cheek Defect Involving Lip Commisure.

Head neck cancer constitute significant cancer burden and among it carcinoma of oral cavity involving buccal mucosa is most common entity in India. Very often it involves lip commisure. Radical surgery along with radiotherapy still remains treatment of choice.
