Chiral multiferroics offer remarkable capabilities for controlling quantum devices at multiple levels. However, these materials are rare due to the competing requirements of long-range orders and strict symmetry constraints. In this study, we present experimental evidence that the coexistence of ferroelectric, magnetic orders, and crystallographic chirality is achievable in hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites [(R/S)-β-methylphenethylamine]CuCl.

Organic-inorganic metal hybrids with their tailorable lattice dimensionality and intrinsic spin-splitting properties are interesting material platforms for spintronic applications. While the spin decoherence process is extensively studied in lead- and tin-based hybrids, these systems generally show short spin decoherence lifetimes, and their correlation with the lattice framework is still not well-understood. Herein, we synthesized magnetic manganese hybrid single crystals of (4-fluorobenzylamine)MnCl, (()-3-fluoropyrrolidinium)MnCl, and (pyrrolidinium)MnCl, which represent a change in lattice dimensionality from 2D and 1D to 0D, and studied their spin decoherence processes using continuous-wave electron spin resonance spectroscopy.

The nanopatterning of Yttrium Iron Garnets (YIGs) has proven to be a non-trivial problem even with advances in modern lithography techniques due to non-compatibility with a conventional complementary metal oxide semiconductor platform. In an attempt to circumvent this problem, we demonstrate a simple and reliable method to indirectly pattern YIG films on a Gadolinium Gallium Garnet (GGG) substrate. We fabricated exchange-coupled arrays of Py dots onto the underlying YIG films using nanostencil lithography.

The atomically flat interface of the YFeO (YIG) thin film and the GdGaO (GGG) substrate plays a vital role in obtaining the magnetization dynamics of YIG below and above the anisotropy field. Here, magnetoimpedance (MI) is used to investigate the magnetization dynamics in fully epitaxial 45 nm YIG thin films grown on the GGG (001) substrates using a copper strip coil in the MHz-GHz frequency region. The resistance () and reactance (), which are components of impedance (), allow us to probe the absorptive and dispersive components of the dynamic permeability, whereas a conventional spectrometer only measures the field derivative of the power absorbed.

We report broadband magnetic resonance in polycrystalline SrFeMoO measured over the wide temperature ( = 10-370 K) and frequency ( = 2-18 GHz) ranges. SrFeMoO was synthesized by the sol-gel method and found to be ferromagnetic below = 325 K. A coplanar waveguide-based broadband spectrometer was used to record the broadband electron spin resonance (ESR) both in frequency sweep and field sweep modes.

Detection of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) using a microwave cavity resonating at a fixed frequency (between 9 and 10 GHz) remains the most popular method to date. Here, we report a cavity-less technique which makes use of only an impedance analyzer and a copper strip coil to detect L-band EPR ( = 1-3 GHz) in the standard EPR marker 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Our method relies on measuring the magnetoimpedance (MI) response of DPPH through a copper strip coil that encloses DPPH.

We report the magnetic field dependence of electrical impedance (magnetoimpedance) of a ferromagnetic PrSrMnO sample carrying alternating current (ac) of frequency = 1 MHz to 3 GHz measured using an impedance analyzer and broad band ferromagnetic resonance ( = 2 to 18 GHz) measured using a coplanar wave guide based spectrometer. Ac magnetoresistance is much larger than dc magnetoresistance and its sign at low magnetic fields changes from negative to positive with increasing frequency of the ac current. The field dependence of ac magnetoresistance shows a peak around = 0 for low frequencies but a double peak feature emerges at = ± at higher frequencies and it shifts to higher magnetic field as the frequency of ac current increases.

We report the magnetization (), magnetostriction, electrical resistivity (), thermal conductivity () and thermopower () of polycrystalline LaNaMnO over a wide temperature range of 5 to 360 K. This sample undergoes a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition around = 274 K and electrical resistivity shows an insulator-metal transition around = 292 K. The sign of thermopower is positive in the entire temperature range which indicates that majority charge carriers are holes.

In this paper, a thin transparent titania (TiO2) film was coated on the surface of flexible poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) film using the sol-gel method. The surface properties of the obtained TiO2/PET film were further improved by RF glow discharge oxygen plasma as a function of exposure time and discharge power. The changes in hydrophilicity of TiO2/PET films were analyzed by contact angle measurements and surface energy.
