Background: The National Spinal Cord Injury Registry of Iran (NSCIR-IR) and the National Trauma Registry of Iran (NTRI) were established to meet the data needs for research and assessing trauma status in Iran. These registries have a group of patients shared by both registries, and it is expected that some identical data will be collected about them. Method: At first, the concepts of QoC for TSCI were identified by conducting a qualitative interview along with re-evaluation of the results of a published scoping review (conceptualization). After operationalization of indicators, they were valued by using the expert panel method.

Benchmarking validity in every registry includes rigorous attention to data quality. Data quality assurance is essential for any registry to make sure that correct patients are being enrolled and that the data being collected are valid.

Methods: Through a cross-sectional study, all road traffic deaths classified under the V01V99 codes according to ICD-10 in Kashan region, central Iran, from March 2006 to March 2013 and population data were collected from the registration system of Kashan University of Medical Sciences. Years of lost life (YLL) and mortality rates were calculated regarding age, gender and year of the accident.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of prehospital time and advanced trauma life support interventions for trauma patients transported to an Iranian Trauma Center.
Methods: This study was a retrospective study of trauma victims presenting to a trauma center in central Iran by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and hospitalized more than 24 hours. Demographic and injury characteristics were obtained, including accident location, damaged organs, injury mechanism, injury severity score, prehospital times (response, scene, and transport), interventions and in-hospital outcome.
