We have studied wettability alterations through imbibition/flooding and their synergy with interfacial tension (IFT) for alkalis, nanoparticles and polymers. Thus, the total acid number (TAN) of oil may determine the wetting-state of the reservoir and influence recovery and IFT. Data obtained demonstrate how the oil TAN number (low and high), chemical agent and reservoir mineralogy influence fluid-fluid and rock-fluid interactions.

Whereas photolyases are DNA repair enzymes that use visible light to lesion-specifically remove UV-induced DNA damage, cryptochromes act as photoreceptors and circadian clock proteins. To address the functional diversity of cryptochromes and photolyases, we investigated the effect of ectopically expressed Arabidopsis thaliana (6-4)PP photolyase and Potorous tridactylus CPD-photolyase (close and distant relatives of mammalian cryptochromes, respectively), on the performance of the mammalian cryptochromes in the mammalian circadian clock.

Materials And Methods: A total of 52 patients between 26 and 39 weeks of pregnancy complicated by oligohydramnios due to: placental insufficiency, PROM or idiopathic etiology and 69 normal pregnancies were involved in the study. Ultrasound examination using color and pulse Doppler were made.
