Introduction: Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) predict overall survival (OS) in many cancer types, but there is little evidence of their prognostic value in older patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We examined whether the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy - Leukemia (FACT-Leu) predicted OS beyond established prognostic factors among these patients.

Materials And Methods: Data were from AML2002 (n = 309), a randomized phase 2/3 study comparing decitabine plus talacotuzumab versus decitabine alone in older AML patients ineligible for intensive chemotherapy.

Background: The objective of this study was to validate the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Leukemia (FACT-Leu) in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who are not candidates for intensive therapy.

Methods: A sample of 317 patients with AML who were not eligible for intensive chemotherapy completed the FACT-Leu and EuroQol 5-Dimension (EQ-5D) measures (Utility Index and Visual Analogue Scale) every 28 days until the end of treatment. Internal consistency reliability was estimated with Cronbach's α.

Background: Follicular lymphoma (FL) and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) are types of indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that develop in the B lymphocytes (also known as B cells).

Objective: The aim of this study was to conduct a comprehensive review of studies relating to cost effectiveness, costs and resource use, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in patients with FL or MZL.

Methods: Three separate systematic reviews were conducted to identify all published evidence on cost effectiveness, costs and resource use, and HRQoL between 2007 and March 2017 using the MEDLINE, MEDLINE in-process, E-pubs ahead of print (Ovid SP), Embase (Ovid SP), NHS EED, and EconLit databases.

This retrospective analysis evaluates morbidities, outcomes and associated risk factors in patients with myelofibrosis (MF) after ruxolitinib discontinuation, using Truven Health Analytics MarketScan (TR), Optum integrated virtual electronic health records and claims databases (OP), and Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)-Medicare linked database (SM). A total of 290 patients with MF between 2006 and 2015 (using ICD-9 and ICD-O-3 codes), who were treated with and discontinued ruxolitinib were identified. Only patients with ≥90 days of medical history prior to index diagnosis (TR + OP) and Part A, B, and D enrollment at the time of index diagnosis (SM) were included.

Background: Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) remains the main cause of mortality due to gynecological malignancies. Optimal tumor debulking and platinum response are the most important prognostic factors for overall survival (OS) in primary EOC. In the setting of recurrence, the role of cytoreduction is not clear.

A 14-month-old female dog, Gos d'Atura Catala was presented for a 7-month-history of reoccurring urinary tract infection. Using sonography, a focal multilobulated thickening of the urinary bladder wall was discovered.
