Background: Innovative methods of teaching such as problem-based learning (PBL) and case-based learning (CBL) have shown promising results in academic understanding and application and enable one to manage their patients in a better manner. The study aimed to analyze the role of a combination of PBL and CBL teaching methodologies in a dental teaching institute in India.
Materials And Methods: This prospective, cross-sectional randomized study comprised 500 students divided into two study groups, each consisting of 250 participants.
Background: This study estimated the predictive accuracy of the mandibular growth potential based on cervical vertebral bone age using digital lateral cephalograms in a sample of the Saudi population.
Methods: This study included digital lateral cephalograms of eighty subjects aged 10-21 years divided into adult and young groups. Cervical vertebral age was calculated by tracing and measuring the third and fourth cervical vertebrae on lateral cephalograms, and the mandibular growth potential was estimated using the Mito et al.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the pattern and distribution of traumatic injuries to primary and permanent anterior teeth in 2-14-year-old pediatric dental patients in AlHassa region of Saudi Arabia.
Methods: The study sample consisted of pediatric dental patients visiting the university dental complex seeking treatment for traumatic dental injuries (TDIs) during the period from February 2022 to April 2023. Data were collected by means of interviewing the children and/or parents regarding the history of trauma and clinical examination for evidence of dental trauma to primary and permanent teeth.
Estimation of early orthodontic treatment need among children is essential for planning orthodontic interventions in the mixed dentition stages thereby reducing the burden in a publicly funded healthcare system. The present study aimed to assess the early orthodontic treatment need among children with mixed dentition in the Eastern Saudi Arabia. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among Saudi children visiting the outpatient clinics in a University dental setting, and data were collected based on Index for preventive and interceptive orthodontic need (IPION).

In addition, DNA repair proficiency in peripheral lymphocytes of T1D patients was evaluated. Smears from the clinically normal buccal mucosa of 46 healthy subjects as controls and randomly selected 45 T1D patients, were stained using the Papanicolaou method, and the mean values (μm) of nuclear area (NA), cytoplasmic area (CA), and cytoplasmic: nucleus ratio (CNR) were obtained for each patient.

The purpose of this study was to assess the morphology of the lingula and analyze the correlation of presence probability between the lingula and antilingula using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Three-dimensional images reconstructed from mandibular CBCT images of 125 Saudi individuals (250 sides), aged 16-36 years, were retrospectively evaluated for distribution in the shape of the lingulae.

Materials And Methods: In this descriptive, observational study, 155 CBCT scans were selected and analyzed for positional changes in the MF. Reconstructed panoramic and axial sections were used to measure the MF-OP and MF-AB distances, respectively, on both the right and left sides of the mandible.
Purpose: The present study aimed to assess the prevalence of occlusal traits and to evaluate the orthodontic treatment need among children aged 8-9 years in Al Ahsa, Eastern region of Saudi Arabia.
Materials And Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 282 Saudi children who were randomly selected from those visiting dental outpatient clinics at the College of dentistry in King Faisal University, AlAhsa. All the children were evaluated using the DHC and AC components of Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN).
Early-stage exposure and analysis of diseases are life-threatening causes for controlling the spread of COVID-19. Recently, Deep Learning (DL) centered approaches have projected intended for COVID-19 during the initial stage through the Computed Tomography (CT) mechanism is to simplify and aid with the analysis. However, these methodologiesundergocommencing one of the following issues: each CT scan slice treated separately and train and evaluate from the same dataset the strategies for image collections.

Clinical behaviour and radiological appearances overlap with benign osseous lesions and are prone to misdiagnosis. Early diagnosis of osteosarcoma plays a crucial role in the treatment plan and prognosis.

The diagnosis is challenging owing to its unspecific clinical and radiographic findings. Treatment options in children should be elective based on their age, symptoms, and facial deformity.

They are generally asymptomatic, usually detected incidentally during routine radiological assessment and are less common in the mandibular anterior region. This article presents a well-documented case involving a solitary bone cyst affecting the mandibular symphysis in a 12-year-old boy with no history of previous trauma.

Objective: The objective of this clinical epidemiologic study was to determine the additional yield of bitewing radiographs compared to clinical examinations in the estimation of proximal caries in primary molars.
Methods: Clinical data (N = 238) of 5- to 6-year-old children were collected by a calibrated examiner, and digital bitewing radiographs were taken after obtaining informed written consent from the parents. The radiographic examination of proximal surfaces was based on criteria derived from the clinical protocol.

Aim: The aim of this paper was to compare the effectiveness of appliance therapy and reward therapy in reducing overjet and open bite associated with thumb sucking habit.
Methods: Thirty nine subjects (17 males and 22 females) with chronic thumb sucking habit were allocated to three groups: group A (positive reinforcement), group B (modified triple loop corrector), and group C (control). Pre-treatment and post-treatment study casts were evaluated for changes in overjet and open bite.
