The retrospective study presented in this article was realized on a series of 22 cases of mucus secreting tumor of the appendix compiled among 8373 appendicectomies. The clinical picture was dominated by an appendiceal syndrome (73%). The diagnosis was made pre or peroperatively in 10 cases and it was only with to the systematic anatomopathologic exam that 12 other cases were discovered.

Method: We retrospectively studied patients who had undergone surgery for a hydatid cyst (HC) of the abdomen between January 1990 and December 2000 and in whom the exploration had confirmed the diagnosis of acute rupture of a hydatid cyst in the peritoneum.
Results: Over this period of 11 Years, 970 patients had undergone surgery for hydatid cysts of the liver and the spleen, 17 of whom had presented an acute rupture of the hydatid cyst in the peritoneum, that is to say 1.
Primary ovarian leiomyosarcoma is extremely rare and generally affects post menopausal women. It is usually unilateral and more than 10 cm in diameter. Its histogenesis is not clear its prognosis seems to be improved by radical surgery and adjuvant therapy.
