- This study aimed to compare the visual outcomes and residual astigmatism after the use of Eyecryl toric and Alcon AcrySof IQ toric intraocular lenses (IOLs) in cataract surgery patients.
- It analyzed data from 143 eyes of 141 patients, measuring uncorrected and best-corrected distance visual acuity and astigmatism one month after surgery.
- Results showed that while both IOL types had similar post-operative uncorrected visual acuity and astigmatism, the Eyecryl group had statistically better best-corrected visual acuity.
Our eyes are windows to the world and to our soul. The approach to them offers an incredible space for conducting research to learn more about gender differences in ocular health and disease. There is inadequate data about gender differences to accurately plan and implement strategies to address the gender disparities.
