Background: Psychiatric patients or mentally ill patients conform a substantial section of the community deserving special attention. This study aimed to assess the oral health status and treatment needs of psychiatric patients attending District Civil Hospital, Raichur, Karnataka.

Materials And Methods: The study group comprised 150 outpatients aged 18-64 years, attending the Department of Psychiatry, District Civil Hospital, Raichur.

V-Y Plasty or Primary Repair Closure of Myelomeningocele: Our Experience.

Primary dura-based synovial sarcoma of the parafalcine region of brain.

Dura-based intracranial neoplasms include a wide range of primary and metastatic tumors, varying in their clinical, radiologic, morphologic, and immunophenotypic characteristics. At this anatomic location, sarcomas are rare, however, they exhibit close morphologic resemblances to meningioma. Herein we describe the third case of primary synovial sarcoma of the parafalcine region in a50-years-old female, who presented with left-sided hemiplegia.

C2 Primary leiomyoma in an immunocompetent woman: A case report and review of literature.

Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma with anaplastic features: A rare case report and review of literature with reference to current management.

Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (PXA) is an uncommon tumor constitutes less than 1% of all astrocytic glial neoplasms was first reported in 1979. PXA commonly occurs in young patients and manifests itself first as seizures followed by focal neurological deficits. The role of radiotherapy or chemotherapy has not yet been established because of the relative infrequency of this disease.

Preoperative neurogenic pulmonary edema: A dilemma for decision making.

Neurogenic pulmonary edema may be a less-recognized consequence of obstructive hydrocephalus. The authors report a patient with acute obstructive hydrocephalus due to cerebellar metastatic lesion, who presented with neurogenic pulmonary edema. The edema resolved on placement of the ventriculoperitonial shunt.
