- The study compared these wait times to those found in the private sector (PS) across various specialties, using data from 2014 and 2017.
- Results showed that while VA wait times were similar to PS in 2014, by 2017 the VA had shorter average wait times for most specialties, except for orthopedics, which had longer wait times in the VA system.
