Background: Abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG) findings can be seen in traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. ECG may be an inexpensive tool to identify patients at high risk for developing cardiac dysfunction after TBI. This study aimed to examine abnormal ECG findings after isolated TBI and their association with true cardiac dysfunction based on echocardiogram.

In previous publications, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) prior to CABG was associated with worse prognosis.
Objectives: The main purpose of this study was to analyse if prior PCI influenced outcomes in STICH.
Distal embolization is the detrimental factor in SVG intervention. There is no specific treatment for it except prevention. Guidelines have endorsed the use of embolic protection devices; however, their use is not without complications, and increases the procedural time and cost for the patient.

Whether the efficacy of CABG compared with medical therapy (MED) in patients with heart failure caused by ischemic cardiomyopathy is the same in patients of different ages is unknown.
Methods: A total of 1212 patients (median follow-up, 9.
We aimed to assess whether measuring carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and oxidative stress markers such as protein carbonyls, malondialdehyde, nitrate and glutathione in plasma of elderly patients without and with coronary artery disease (CAD) identifies early risk for CAD. A total of 50 cases with cardiovascular risk factors over the age of 60 years without CAD, and 50 patients with angiographically documented CAD over the age of 60 years were included in the study. Control group consists of 200 healthy individuals without the risk factors.

It has been shown to be effective and feasible in the Western population. However, there is a relative paucity of similar data for small-statured females, especially from Asian countries.

Methods: Nontraumatic SAH patients were evaluated with two-dimensional echocardiogram in addition to detailed clinical and investigative data. In echocardiogram, LV was evaluated as a 16-segment approach and its function was noted.
The eustachian valve is an embryological remnant of the inferior vena cava valve that is absent or inconspicuous in the adult. Even when prominent, it is considered to be a benign finding. The present report describes a patient with deep venous thrombosis who had recurrent pulmonary embolism despite thrombolysis and anticoagulation.

This report discusses the pros and cons of the procedure.

We report the results of a pilot study on progenitor cells in five patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).
Materials And Methods: Patients with single-vessel disease who had their first episode of myocardial infarction and underwent angioplasty after 48 h (an average of 17 days following myocardial infarction) were included in the study.
