We report a case of intrathoracic migration of a Kirschner wire used for inveterate anterior right shoulder luxation penetrating the spinal canal through the right Th8 nerve root foramen. The migration was asymptomatic. The treatment involved removing the pin via posterolateral thoracotomy.

This paper presents an analysis of patients in hemodialysis with carpal tunnel syndrome. The pathogenesis and diagnostics of the syndrome are discussed, as well as treatment outcomes. The authors argue that treatment methods to avoid amyloidosis caused by dialysis should be introduced as standard procedure, especially in older patients at high risk for amyloidosis.
