Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates using ultrasound to locate the second posterior sacral foramen acupuncture point and measure needle insertion depth while observing surrounding anatomy.
  • The process involved four main steps: locating the point by palpation, visualizing it with ultrasound, inserting the needle at a 30° angle, and verifying placement with another ultrasound scan.
  • Results indicate that ultrasound can effectively assist in identifying acupuncture points and estimating insertion depth, potentially leading to standardized treatment protocols in acupuncture practice.
