The aim of this study was to evaluate the micro-shear bond strength (µSBS) of one and two steps self-etch adhesive systems after enamel bleaching with photo-activated bleaching systems of different hydrogen peroxide (HP) concentration. Occlusal enamel of forty intact human molars were flattened and assigned into four groups. GI Unbleached, GII, GIII, and GIV were bleached with Pyrenees (3.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of different surface treatments of nickel chrome (NiCr) with the type of metal primer monomers on the conventional tensile bond strength (CTBS) of resin cement.

Methods: Forty disks of NiCr alloy were prepared for CTBS test and grouped as follows: group (1) no surface treatment (control group), group (2) oxide layer only, group (3) air abrasion, and group (4) air abrasion with an oxide layer. Each main group was subdivided into two subgroups (n = 5) depending upon the type of metal primer used for metal treatment.

Purpose: To evaluate the nanoleakage of one- and two-step self-etch adhesives bonded to artificial carious dentin.

Methods: Deep dentin of 24 human molars was exposed and divided into four groups. One group served as control while the others were demineralized in artificial demineralization solution for 10 minutes, 6 hours, and 24 hours.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between micro-tensile bond strength (muTBS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of resin composite restorations in cavities filled by a bulk or incremental technique using the micro-tensile test.

Methods: Class I cavities (4mm long, 3mm wide, 3mm deep) were prepared into dentine of sixteen human molars. All cavities were bonded with Clearfil SE Bond and restored with AP-X composite with either a bulk or incremental technique.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the regional mechanical properties of flowable composites with different initiation systems under free and constrained conditions. Forty cavities fabricated in resin blocks with or without bonding treatment were bulk-filled with Estelite Flow Quick (EFQ) or Palfique Estelite LV (ELV), followed by light irradiation for 10 or 30 seconds. Each specimen was sliced to three slabs parallel to the long axis.

Objectives: To evaluate the regional mechanical properties of resin composite under free and constrained conditions during polymerization.

Methods: Forty cavities (8mm diameter and 5mm depth) were fabricated in resin blocks. Half of the cavities were bonded and the other half left un-bonded.
