Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) are potent antihypertensive agents that block the renin angiotensin aldosterone system (RAS). Their use in pregnancy may cause malformations, oligoanuria, hypotension, and death. Hypotension is observed up to 15% of cases and is described as refractory to volume and inotropic support, although its pathophysiology is unknown.
