The interfacial interactions between asperities on the surface of materials are critical in influencing stick-slip behavior. This study focused on modifying the asperities on the surface of zinc-coated steel through temper rolling as a new approach to suppress friction-induced stick-slip vibration and noise.

However, the progression of emotional well-being throughout the clinical course of brain tumors remains poorly understood. This study aims to assess the prevalence of anxiety and depression in brain tumor patients and to identify the risk factors associated with postoperative emotional derangement in glioma and metastatic groups seperately.

However, traditional machine learning algorithms and single deep learning models have limitations in extracting complex nonlinear and time-series features, resulting in unsatisfactory prediction results. To address this problem, this study proposes a hybrid neural network-based customer churn prediction model, CCP-Net.

Methods: The patient was initially misdiagnosed with brain metastases, and the diagnosis of PCNSL was later confirmed by pathology.
Results: The analysis of this case and review of the relevant literature explores the possible mechanisms of the coexistence of thyroid cancer and PCNSL, as well as their diagnostic, differential diagnostic, and therapeutic challenges.
Background: Temozolomide (TMZ) is used in the treatment of glioblastoma (GBM). However, the primary obstacle remains the emergence of TMZ chemotherapy resistance. NONO and SFPQ are multifunctional nuclear proteins involved in genome stability and gene regulation.

In this study, the relationship between smoking status and gut microbial composition was investigated by performing 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing analysis of stool samples from 80 healthy Chinese adults. The results showed that smoking did not cause significant changes to the composition and microbial functional pathways of the gut microbiota.

Methods: We utilized moxibustion treatment in RA rat models using the Zusanli (ST36) and Shenshu (BL23) acupoints. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining was used to observe the pathological changes of the synovial tissue under a section light microscope, and pathological scoring was performed according to the grading standard of the degree of synovial tissue disease.
Background: Depression is common among glioma patients, and antidepressants are frequently prescribed to manage symptoms. Understanding the impact of antidepressants on glioma patient survival is crucial for informing treatment strategies.
Methods: A systematic search was conducted in PubMed and EMBASE databases for studies published from January 1994 to March 2024.

Purpose: We retrospectively analyzed the effect of Bevacizumab (BEV) on recurrent high-grade glioma (rHGG) and examined the relationship between dose and efficacy.
Methods: A total of 182 patients with rHGG were included in this study. Patients were divided into a non-BEV group and a BEV group according to the treatment they received, and the BEV group was further divided into a low-dose group and a high-dose group based on the dose.
The ultrasonic micromachining systems significantly improve machining efficiency and quality, which are increasingly being applied in the manufacturing of microstructures and micro parts. However, the mechanical and thermal loads of the high-frequency piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer (HPUT) of ultrasonic micromachining systems have serious interference with the precise control of resonance frequency tracking, which further causes uncontrollable processing quality and precision. To improve the controllability of resonance frequency tracking, a thermo-mechanical coupling load model for HPUTs is proposed to establish the relationship between the resonance frequency and thermo-mechanical coupling load by introducing the force load constants and thermal load constants into the 6-terminal network electromechanical equivalent circuit.

Background: Spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is associated with alarmingly high rates of disability and mortality, and current therapeutic options are suboptimal. A critical component of ICH pathology is the initiation of a robust inflammatory response, often termed "cytokine storm," which amplifies the secondary brain injury following the initial hemorrhagic insult. The precise sources and consequences of this cytokine-driven inflammation are not fully elucidated, necessitating further investigation.

Despite the growing comprehension of immune cell functions and the clinical application of immunotherapy, the precise roles and characteristics of immune cell subtypes, how glioma induces subtype transformation of immune cells and its impact on glioma progression have yet to be understood.
Aim Of The Review: In this review, we comprehensively center on the four major immune cells within the glioma microenvironment, particularly neutrophils, macrophages, lymphocytes, myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), and other significant immune cells.
Glioma, the most common primary malignant tumor in the central nervous system (CNS), lacks effective treatments, and >60% of cases are glioblastoma (GBM), the most aggressive form. Despite advances in immunotherapy, GBM remains highly resistant. Approaches that target tumor antigens expedite the development of immunotherapies, including personalized tumor-specific vaccines, patient-specific target selection, dendritic cell (DC) vaccines, and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) and T cell receptor (TCR) T cells.

Clinical trials targeting immune responses post-ICH have encountered setbacks, potentially attributable to the substantial cellular heterogeneity and intricate intercellular networks within the brain. Here, we present a pioneering investigation utilizing single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptome profiling at hyperacute (1 h), acute (24 h), and subacute (7 days) intervals post-ICH, aimed at unraveling the dynamic immunological landscape and spatial distributions within the cerebral tissue.

Anti-aging functional foods benefit the elderly. Telomeres are chromosomal ends that maintain genome stability extended by telomerase catalytic subunit TERT. Due to the end-replication problem, telomeres shorten after each cell cycle without telomerase in most human cells, and eventually the cell enters the senescence stage.
