The traditional approach of using PowerPoint (PPT) presentations in medical imaging theory classes hinders the spatial thinking ability of most students. Consequently, the learning outcomes are often unsatisfactory. This article proposes a naked eye three-dimensional (3D) medical imaging teaching assistant app based on augmented reality (AR) technology to enhance learning interest, teaching interaction, and effectiveness.

In addition, taxifolin could also protect HT-22 cells from aging by up-regulating SIRT1 while reducing the expression of Ac-p53, indicating that TAX may be an active substance that can effectively delay cell aging.

This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the double plasma molecular adsorption system (DPMAS) in combination with plasma exchange (PE) compared to plasma exchange alone in the treatment of Acute-on-Chronic liver failure (LF) caused by hepatitis B. Until August 31, 2023, a comprehensive search of databases including Embase, Chinese Medical Journal Full-text Database, China Biomedical Literature Database, Wan Fang Medical Network, PubMed, and the Cochrane Library was carried out using keywords like "liver failure," "acute-on-chronic liver failure," "PE," "DPMAS," and related terms. The quality of the included studies was evaluated using QUADS (quality assessment of diagnostic accuracy studies).

Methods: We collected the clinical data on a case of PCD treated in the Department of Reproductive Medicine of Linyi People's Hospital in July 2020, detected the genes of the patient by whole-exome sequencing (WES), verified the candidate mutations by Sanger sequencing, and predicted the protein structure of the mutant gene by SWISS-MODEL.
Results: The proband was found with the clinical phenotypes of chronic rhinitis, bronchiectasis, visceral transposition and male infertility.
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents a major global health threat with diverse and complex pathogenesis. Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10 (AKR1B10), a tumor-associated enzyme, exhibits abnormal expression in various cancers. However, a comprehensive understanding of AKR1B10's role in HCC is lacking.

Although the relationship between certain single probiotics and HBC has been explored, the impact of the complex ready-to-eat N1115 (LP N1115) supplement on patients with HBC has not been determined.
Aim: To compare the changes in the microbiota, inflammatory factor levels, and liver function before and after probiotic treatment in HBC patients.
Several studies have reported the effects of DJ-1 gene and miR-199a/b-3p on HCC development. However, whether miR-199a/b-3p regulates HCC progression through a novel compensatory signaling pathway involving DJ-1, Ras, and PI3K/AKT remains unknown. We used (TCGA, HPA, miRWalk and Target scan) databases, cancer and para-tissue HCC patients, dual-luciferase reporter gene analysis, proteomic imprinting, qPCR, cell proliferation, scratch, transport, and flow cytometry to detect the molecular mechanism of DJ-1 and miR-199a/b-3p co-expression in HCC cell lines.

This floral mechanism can effectively reduce self-interference during the reproductive process, and the services provided by pollinators may play an essential role in monoecious species; however, relevant research is still lacking. Thus, we aimed to determine whether monoecious plants could effectively avoid self-interference and promote the evolution of monoecy under the service of pollinators.

Due to the overlapping clinical symptoms and the lack of objective diagnostic biomarkers, bipolar disorder (BD) is easily misdiagnosed as major depressive disorder (MDD), which in turn affects treatment decisions and prognosis. This study aimed to investigate biomarkers that could be used to differentiate BD from MDD.

Besides, some papers showed that GP73 levels are correlated with liver fibrosis. This study conducts a meta-analysis to evaluate the value of GP73 in diagnosing HCC and differential diagnosing HCC from liver cirrhosis.

Acetylene (CH) separation from multicomponent mixtures is vitally important but industrially challenging for the collection of high-purity CH. To address this requirement, the reaction between the alkaline-earth Ca ions with a dicarboxylate-diazolate linker, 4,6-di(1-tetrazol-5-yl)isophthalic acid (Hdtzip), gave rise to a new metal-organic framework (MOF) material [Ca(dtzip)HO]·2HO (). The material presents unique regular tubular channels based on threefolded helical rod-like secondary building units with rich open metal sites and exposed organic hydrogen-bonding N/O acceptors that enhance the interactions with CH molecules, endowing significant selectivity for CH over CH (5.

Cadmium (Cd) directly endangers poultry health and indirectly causes harm to human health by food chain. Numerous studies have focused on removing Cd using lactic acid bacteria (LAB). However, there is still a lack of in vivo studies to validate whether Cd can be absorbed successfully by LAB to alleviate Cd toxicity.
