Establishing a nonzero measurement of the electron Electric Dipole Moment (eEDM) has long been a fundamental pursuit in atomic, molecular and optical physics, offering possible insights into new physics beyond the Standard Model. In this regard, lead monofluoride (PbF) has emerged as a potential candidate for measuring eEDM primarily due to its suitable properties such as the strong internal effective electric field, and eEDM-sensitive ground state with large Ω-doubling and small magnetic g factor. In the present work, we realized the production of a buffer-gas-cooled PbF molecular beam and characterized its high-resolution spectroscopy in the BΣ(υ'=0) ← XΠ(υ = 0) transition, including both direct absorption and laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAims: We investigate the value of postoperative minimal residual disease (MRD) detection using circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in guiding adjuvant therapy for patients with potentially high recurrence risk in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) due to the presence of MRD.
Patients And Methods: A randomized controlled trial will enroll stage IA-IIA NSCLC patients with Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) mutation and negative resection margins to evaluate the clinical value of MRD in guiding adjuvant osimertinib. That is, if the patient's peripheral blood does not show ctDNA (negative) after next generation sequencing (NGS) testing, postoperative observation and follow-up are sufficient.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAn attenuation of visible probe radiation identified in earlier absorption studies of microwave plasma-activated CH/H/Ar gas mixtures is shown to arise from nanoparticles in under-pumped regions on opposing sides of a reactor used for diamond chemical vapor deposition. The present modeling studies highlight (i) ejection of Si-containing species into the gas phase by reactive radical etching of the quartz window through which the microwave radiation enters the reactor, enabled by suitably high window temperatures () and the synergistic action of near-window H atoms and CH radicals; (ii) subsequent processing of the ejected material, some of which are transported to and accumulate in stagnation regions in the entrance to the reactor side arms; and (iii) the importance of Si in facilitating homogeneous gas phase nucleation, clustering, and nanoparticle growth in these regions. The observed attenuation, its probe wavelength dependence, and its variations with changes in process conditions can all be rationalized by a combination of absorption and scattering contributions from Si/C/H containing nanoparticles with diameters in the range of 50-100 nm.

Results: Through virtual screening, a neglected residue Asn305, was identified as critical for catalytic efficiency. Subsequent site-saturation mutagenesis led to a potent variant N305R which exhibited excellent conversions of 88% (87%) and 80% (94%) for the synthesis of L-threo-phenylserine and L-threo-4-fluorophenylserine respectively.

By examining the kinetic energy release-dependent momentum angular distribution of the ejected ionic fragments, two distinct pathways, each associated with different intermediates, are identified. Control over the emission directions of the ionic fragments is achieved by varying the relative phase of the elliptical two-color laser fields.

Purpose: This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of sensor technologies employed in interventions to enhance patient adherence to inhalation therapy for chronic respiratory diseases, with a particular emphasis on human factors. Sensor-based interventions offer opportunities to improve adherence through monitoring and feedback; however, a deeper understanding of how these technologies interact with patients is essential.
Patients And Methods: We conducted a systematic review by searching online databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, and ACM Digital Library, spanning the timeframe from January 2014 to December 2023.
Objective: We aimed to develop a rapid, simple, and precise ultra performance liquid chromatography - tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) technique for simultaneous measurement of omadacycline (OMA) and tigecycline (TGC) in the bloodstream of individuals suffering from serious bacterial infections.
Methods: All analytes were extracted using a 0.2 % formic acid-water dilution and acetonitrile plasma protein precipitation.
