Background: Although the information on the validation status of electronic sphygmomanometer (ES) devices in use in health care institutions and households is much more clinically relevant than that of ES models available on the market, it remains insufficient.
Methods: A national survey was conducted across all administrative regions of mainland China to assess the validation status of ESs. Fifty-eight cities were selected with stratification by municipality, provincial capital, and other cities, and health care institutions and households in each city were chosen by convenience to identify ES devices in use according to the study protocol.
Hydrogen sulfide (HS) is a gas signaling molecule with versatile bioactivities; however, its exploitation for disease treatment appears challenging. This study describes the design and characterization of a novel type of HS donor-drug conjugate (DDC) based on the thio-ProTide scaffold, an evolution of the ProTide strategy successfully used in drug discovery. The new HS DDCs achieved hepatic co-delivery of HS and an anti-fibrotic drug candidate named hydronidone, which synergistically attenuated liver injury and resulted in more sufficient intracellular drug exposure.

Background: Digital health interventions have emerged as promising tools to promote health behavior change and improve health outcomes. However, a comprehensive synthesis of strategies contributing to these interventions is lacking.
Objective: This study aims to (1) identify and categorize the strategies used in digital health interventions over the past 25 years; (2) explore the differences and changes in these strategies across time periods, countries, populations, delivery methods, and senders; and (3) serve as a valuable reference for future researchers and practitioners to improve the effectiveness of digital health interventions.
Importance: The impact of adjunctive intra-arterial tenecteplase administration following near-complete to complete reperfusion by endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for acute ischemic stroke is unknown.
Objective: To assess the efficacy and adverse events of adjunctive intra-arterial tenecteplase in patients with large vessel occlusion stroke who had achieved near-complete to complete reperfusion (defined as a score on the expanded Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction [eTICI] scale of 2c to 3) after EVT.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Investigator-initiated, randomized, open-label, blinded outcome assessment trial implemented at 34 hospitals in China among 540 patients with stroke due to proximal intracranial large vessel occlusion within 24 hours of the time they were last known to be well, with an eTICI score of 2c to 3 after EVT, and without prior intravenous thrombolysis.
Background: Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a highly aggressive brain cancer with poor prognosis and limited treatment options. Despite advances in understanding its molecular mechanisms, effective therapeutic strategies remain elusive due to the tumor's genetic complexity and heterogeneity.
Methods: This study employed a comprehensive analysis approach integrating 113 machine learning algorithms with Mendelian Randomization (MR) analysis to investigate the molecular underpinnings of GBM.
Recently, the scale and frequency of harmful algae blooms (HABs) have gradually increased, posing a serious threat to human health, marine ecosystems and economic development. For early warning, a method is required that can quickly detect and monitor microalgae. It is proposed to use aptamer targeted to Prorocentrum minimum, along with exonuclease III (Exo III), gold nanoparticles, target single-stranded DNA and hairpin structure probe to construct a new method, i.

Current analyses predominantly focus on identifying outliers in single genes that can be attributed to cis-acting variants within or near that gene. This approach overlooks causal variants with trans-acting effects on splicing transcriptome-wide, such as variants impacting spliceosome function.

Currently, there is a lack of diagnostic tools for Long COVID in clinical practice. Therefore, this study utilizes plasma proteomics and metabolomics technologies to understand the molecular profile and pathophysiological mechanisms of Long COVID, providing clinical evidence for the development of potential biomarkers.

However, the key cytokines and the underlying mechanisms through which fever exerts its anti-tumor effects remain unclear.
Patients And Methods: A total of 794 breast cancer patients were recruited between 2008 and 2017, with follow-up extending until October 31st, 2023.

Imaging changes in the pancreas can provide valuable information about the status of islet beta-cell function in different pancreatic diseases, such as diabetes, pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, fatty pancreas, and insulinoma. While imaging cannot directly measure beta-cell function; it can be used as a marker of disease progression and a tool to guide therapeutic interventions. As imaging technologies continue to advance, they will likely play an increasingly important role in diagnosing, monitoring, and managing diabetes.

Here we present an efficiently reactant enriched and mass traffic system by integrating high-curvature Pt nanocones with 3D porous TiAl framework to enhance mass transfer rate. Theoretical simulations, in situ Raman spectroscopy and potential-dependent Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy results disclose that the strong local electric field induced by high-curvature Pt can greatly promote the HO supply rate during HER, resulting in ∼1.

Most current methods rely on motif databases to establish cross-modality relationships between genes from RNA-seq data and peaks from ATAC-seq data. However, these approaches are constrained by incomplete database coverage, particularly for novel or poorly characterized relationships.

In this paper, NaOH and NaCO were used for alkali thermal activation of ground fluorite tailings under different temperature conditions, and the reactivity was analyzed by XRD, SEM and compressive strength after hydration, so as to evaluate the feasibility of fluorite tailings as geopolymer precursor. The results show that the fluorite tailings can exhibit certain reactivity under alkaline heat excitation, and significant amorphous glass phase can be detected.
