Background: Induction immunosuppressive therapy is used to prevent rejection and maintain allograft function in transplantation. Rabbit antithymocyte globulin (rATG), a T-cell depleting antibody, is the most commonly used induction agent for kidney transplantation. To date there is still limited data on outcomes of pediatric kidney transplants with rATG as induction therapy.
