Rationale And Objectives: Central arterial blood pressure (CBP) is considered a more valuable prognostic marker of major cardiovascular diseases than peripheral blood pressure. Non-invasive evaluation of central aortic pressure by Doppler echocardiography is a hopeful tool, avoiding many complications of invasive catheter strategy and diminishing time and costs.

Background: The overall 5-year survival rate of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), a major form of liver cancer, is merely 20%, underscoring the need for more effective therapies. We recently identified T cell receptors (TCR) specific for the HLA-A2/alpha fetoprotein amino acids 158-166 (AFP) and showed that these TCR engineered T cells could control HCC xenografts in NSG mice. In this article, we reviewed the current literature studies and our understanding of the parameters that affect the chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T's) activation, effector function, in vivo persistence, and antitumour effects. Our study aimed to evaluate the sensitivity of the sonication tool for the microbiological diagnosis of cardiovascular implantable electronic device infections (CIEDIs). The extracted cardiac implants of 52 patients were assessed: 19 with CIEDI and 33 with elective generator replacement or revision without clinical infection. Sonication fluid culture of explanted CIEDs yielded higher numbers of microorganisms than pocket tissue or swab cultures.
